About This Pub

Ah, Revolution Aberdeen, what a gem tucked away on Belmont Street – it's one of those places that just draws you in with its vibrant energy and makes you want to linger. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by staff who go above and beyond, like Nikki or Josh, who make everything feel personal and fun, ensuring your drinks and food arrive promptly while keeping the conversation flowing. The food's a real highlight; whether it's a divine pizza or those handcrafted cocktails, it's all about quality that leaves you satisfied without breaking the bank, especially with those happy hour deals. It's split over two levels with an outdoor deck that's brilliant for soaking up the views of Union Terrace Gardens, rain or shine, and it's surprisingly accommodating for groups or even bringing along your furry friend. On the flip side, though, it does get heaving on weekends, which might mean a wait for a table or a bit more hustle and bustle than you'd fancy if you're after a quiet catch-up. Prices are fair but can mount up with a few rounds, so it's best to plan ahead. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone in Aberdeen looking for a mix of relaxation and revelry – I'd say give it a go if you're up for a memorable evening, but maybe pop in midweek for a calmer experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home, like chatting with an old mate.
  • The food and drinks are spot on; think tasty pizzas, fabulous cocktails, and great deals like happy hours that keep things affordable and fun.
  • It's got a cracking atmosphere with lively music that's just the right volume for a good natter, plus it's dog-friendly which is a lovely touch.
  • Perfect for a variety of occasions, from casual lunches to lively nights out, with options for events and special deals that add to the excitement.
Cons
  • It can get a bit crowded on busier evenings, making it tricky to find a spot if you're after a more relaxed vibe.
  • Being on a bustling street, the noise from outside might spill in, which isn't ideal if you're hoping for a peaceful pint.
  • With moderate prices, a night out here could add up quicker than you'd expect, so it's worth keeping an eye on the tab.

Not the type of venue that I would normally visit but what a surprise. The staff were outstanding in the delivery of customer service, which all seemed to be very natural. Our dog was also made most welcome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in assisting my wife to enter and leave the premises despite her using a mobility scooter. The food was terrific and we left assuring ourselves that we have been missing out by not visiting sooner.

Met a mate for drinks and lunch!!! Immediately greeted at the front door and were able to pick a table, nice booth in the corner away from the noise but still feel part of the amazing atmosphere! Tunes were amazing for a Saturday afternoon blether.... not too loud but certainly loud enough to get us singing along!!!! 90s bangers or sure!! CHELSEA was amazing the whole time we were there. Sadly no fryer that day and my mate is pescatarian.... Chelsea had already marked the menu for my friend to pick, making sure she was not scrambling to see what she could order, great touch Chelsea!!! Chelsea checked in on us as you would want but not over the top fussing..... she was all over the place and every table having banter with her and in stitches!!! Food was great, only pointer from me is the dough for my flatbread needed 2 more minutes and maybe some herbs through it. That's it. The food was fast, hot and tasty!! Defo be back for another Saturday blether and banter (there's your marketing done!!!!!) great tunes, amazing atmosphere and CHELSEA is the best!!!

Amazing environment as soon as you walk in, they’ve got amazing music and tunes playing, not too loud so you can still have a conversation. Liga was very informative on the student brunch deal which is what we opted for. Josh D gave us exceptional service drinks and food were fast and kept ensuring that we had a good time throughout. They were also a good chat and had plenty of laughs
