About This Pub
Ah, Restaurant Örme – what a lovely spot it is in Urmston, Manchester. I've got to say, from what I've seen, it's all about that ethical British fine dining without any of the snootiness you sometimes get elsewhere. The tasting menus are just brilliant, with rave reviews about every course being deliciously spot-on, whether it's the Christmas specials or the Sunday roasts. The staff really know their stuff too; they're friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to recommending wines, which sounds perfect for a relaxed evening. It's got this inviting atmosphere with indie rock playing in the background, making it feel more like a chilled hangout than a formal do. On the flip side, though, it's only open Thursday through Sunday, so you'll need to check the schedule and book in advance because it gets busy quickly. And let's be honest, it might stretch the budget a bit for everyday visits, but for a special occasion, it's spot on. Overall, if you're after a place that delivers on great food and a genuine welcome, this one's a winner – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go when you're in the area.

-
It's got a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a soundtrack of indie rock and roll that adds a fun, relaxed twist to the fine dining experience.
-
They focus on ethical and sustainable British cuisine, which is great if you're into places that care about where their ingredients come from.
-
The location in Urmston is handy, and it's easy to pop in for a special lunch or dinner without the pretence of overly stuffy fine dining.
Cons
-
It's only open four days a week, from Thursday to Sunday, which means you'll have to plan ahead if you're keen to visit during the week.
-
Bookings can be a bit tricky to snag, given how popular it is, so you might end up waiting for a table like some folks have mentioned.
-
As a fine dining spot, it could get pricey, which might not suit everyone looking for a casual night out, though it's worth it for a treat.

Been wanting to go here since they opened, finally got a table. Heard and read great things about this place. I can see now why it's got such high praise and why it's worth waiting to get a booking. From the moment we entered the place was so inviting, the service was excellent. As for the food it was incredible, not one bad course, I opted for the extra course of pheasant, which I'm so glad I did it was one of my favourites. I've been to quite a few tasting menus and this was up there as one of my favourites. The place has a lovely homely family vibe, the chef/owner came out and chatted to us about one of the courses and we ended up chatting for a little, really nice guy. This is such an amazing addition to Urmston and deserves all the success. Get booked in and you won't be disappointed. We will be returning for the next convenient available slot. Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is incredible we went on Sunday for there Sunday roast and it was amazing, every element was off the scale. I'd go for the three courses as the portions aren't huge but well balanced.
My wife and I had the Sunday roast on 23rd March 2025 and it was superb. We had parsnip soup, beef scrumpet, celeriac schnitzel, roast chicken, lime tart and caramelised apple and all of it was top quality, piping hot and all perfectly cooked.
The sommelier gave me great advice on the orange wine and the Polish dessert wine, which were all top draw and my wife really enjoyed her non-alcoholic blood orange nojito.
I think Nic looked after us and she was great, as was the sommelier, both friendly, helpful and kind and a credit to the restaurant.
We had a brilliant afternoon at Restaurant Orme and we recommend 100%.
We came in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Wonderful food and a knowledgeable team. Unfortunately we were both driving but will definitely return when this isn’t the case so we can try the wine pairing as they all sounded amazing.
Absolutely sublime! We went for the Signature menu and every mouthful was deliciously incredible. I’m booked to come back in two weeks time with another friend. Loved every course and can’t wait to see what’s next on the menu. Well done team Orme! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A very beautiful lunch with delicious Christmas special theme 7-course menu. Everything has been crafted to perfection. The starter, the main course, the palate cleanser.... All taste amazing! Thank you so much for giving us such an amazing experience.
