About This Pub
Ah, RedBeer'd – what a gem of a spot in Birmingham! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that perfect pub charm where you can pop in for a pint and feel right at home. The staff really shine here; they're super approachable, dishing out recommendations like they're sharing tips with old pals, and the beer selection is a treat, especially if you're into local craft brews that pack a flavour punch. It's a cosy place with a welcoming vibe, and being pet-friendly just adds to the appeal – imagine settling in with your dog for a relaxed afternoon. On the flip side, though, there's a review that sticks out where someone had a rough time feeling looked down on because of a disability, which is a real shame and makes you wonder about consistency in how everyone is treated. Still, with an overall rating of 4.7, it seems like most visits are spot-on positive, so I'd say it's worth checking out for a good laugh and a quality drink, just keep in mind it might not be perfect every time. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts looking for that authentic, down-to-earth experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and even suggestions for other great spots nearby – it's like chatting with a mate behind the bar.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of beers, including local brews and craft lines that go beyond the usual suspects, perfect for anyone wanting to try something new and tasty.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, with a great vibe that makes it easy to unwind, and it's pet-friendly too, so you can bring your furry friend along for the fun.
-
It's conveniently located near Kings Norton, making it a brilliant stop-off point, especially if you're hopping off the train.
Cons
-
There was one disappointing experience where someone felt judged and unwelcome due to a disability, which really soured their visit and shows that service isn't always spot-on.
-
The beer selection might be limited in variety at times, like only one hand pump in use, so it could feel a bit sparse if you're after more options.
-
Based on the reviews, it seems there might be inconsistencies in how folks are treated, which could put a damper on what should be a relaxed outing.

So close to Kings Norton 🚂 - worth stopping off to visit this super friendly micro bar. One cask ale on plus plenty of craft lines and not just the usual suspects. The service is as good as it gets with the barman suggesting other top venues to visit in the neighbourhood. Additional seating upstairs along with the toilets.
Actually really bad.. I'm not sure what but . Definitely the worst of look down their nose at you.. . Completely unpleasent..
Having a disability should not have you looked at like that .. I limp..
What was really odd. Is the lady . (The bloke is ok). When I mentioned that I'd protested at the abuse of vulnerable people in the local area.. getting them moved ... Getting actual support..
She accused me of talking about money.. . I mean .. 1.2k per room and 7 million off shore out of 550 million .. on Birmingham.. .. thia isnt unknown... However .... Here .. I have had to call and deal with getting the elderly the help . Getting 'more appropriate'. Genuinely..
And .. she didn't do it via conversation.. it felt and I'm sure it was because I am physicalky disabled and I struggle with my eyes .. which i had explained ..
It was sickening .. and I suggest .. anyone with autism adsd a limp or to be frank .. not of 'their kind"
I wasn't loud.. I was only sitting at the bar.. futilely talking. . (I have aspergers.. I asked about my tone.. )
It shouldn't matter... But.. no it shouldn't matter .
It does and it has to be called out . So .. next time it will be on video... And a formal vpmplai t is raised .. as the gent (who was fine). Knew I was waiting for a call from the NHS. Because my finger was broken. ..
Sickening .... And .. I don't mind my name being put up .. because .. that was horrific..
Nice little micro with a couple of hand pumps (though only one was in use on my visit) the Gold Brummie was in good order
Lovely little pub in Kings Norton with a really welcoming atmosphere. The bartender was friendly, and the whole place had a great vibe. The playlist was excellent, adding to the overall enjoyment. They are pet-friendly, so I got to see the cutest dog, which was a nice bonus. I’d highly recommend Hogan’s Elderflower Cider, it was very tasty and fresh. The pub also has an upstairs seating area, providing more space to relax. I’ll definitely be back again soon.
Very nice, small, cozy place! Thanks to fellow google reviewers. Gem of a find. Nice place to just relax and have a pint of the local brews. I had the locally brewed Brum Glasshouse Fluted by Birmingham Brew Co. And it was really nice , lots of flavour and nice sweet typical IPA finish. Really nice small shop where people are just having a relaxing pint after a day's work.
