About This Pub

You know, when I think about Cotteridge Wines, it really stands out as one of those hidden gems in Birmingham that's perfect for anyone who's passionate about good drinks. The staff are just lovely – always up for a chat and full of recommendations, which makes the whole experience feel warm and personal. They've got this incredible range of craft beers, ales, ciders, and wines that covers everything from local brews to international favourites, and at prices that feel genuinely fair, so you can try a few without worrying too much about the cost. The tap room out the back is a nice touch too, letting you sample some amazing local beers in a relaxed setting. On the downside, though, it does wrap up fairly early most days, around 6pm, so it's not ideal if you're planning a proper night out. And while it's brilliant for a quiet drink and a browse, it might not have that energetic pub buzz if that's what you're after. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back visit with mates, especially if you're keen to discover new tipples – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got an amazing selection of drinks, from craft beers and ales to ciders and wines from all over – it's like a treasure trove for anyone who loves exploring new brews.
  • Prices are spot on and reasonable, so you won't break the bank while treating yourself to something special.
  • The tap room is a brilliant spot for enjoying local beers on site, adding a nice community feel to the place.
Cons
  • It tends to close a bit early, often around 6pm, which might cut your evening short if you're hoping for a late-night session.
  • It's more geared towards drinks and a relaxed vibe rather than a lively pub atmosphere, so if you're after live music or a bustling crowd, it might not quite hit the mark.

So many stouts available, it felt like Christmas shopping! Amazing selection at reasonable prices. Beers available throughout the year while other retailers and bars stock up based on seasons. Will be making this my regular from now on.

Wow! Soooooo much choice from craft beers, ales, ciders and wines from all over the place. And to top it all off a tap room with some amazing local beers from Birmingham's start up breweries. Craft beer heaven!

Hands down the best craft beer bottle shop in the country. Incredible selection and the prices cannot be beaten anywhere that I have seen yet. They covers range of styles: IPA, stouts, sours, real ale, cider etc. They also have a taproom again with great prices and good range of beer in.

A great place to pick up a great amount of different kinds of beer. From modern to European to American. Very friendly, knowledgeable guys selling the beers. Also has a tap house out the back. If you want beers in the Birmingham area, this is the place to go
