About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Quirky Farm Bistro – it's this charming independent spot tucked away on Oxford Street in Harrogate, run by the lovely Lise and Fabrizio, who pour their hearts into every dish. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is spot on; we're talking fresh, homemade creations with a brilliant mix of Italian and Caribbean influences, like their standout arancini or a proper breakfast that feels like a hug on a plate. The service is just as brilliant – the owners are so chatty and accommodating, making you feel like you're catching up with old friends, and it's all served in a quirky, rustic setting that's cosy without being stuffy. It's got that high rating of 4.7, with folks raving about how welcoming it is, even for dogs, which is ace if you're out for a wander. But, to keep it real, it's up on the first floor, so if stairs aren't your thing, it might not be ideal, and they tend to wrap up early, which could put a dampener on plans for a proper night out. Still, for a relaxed lunch or a special occasion, it's worth seeking out – you'd be hard-pressed not to leave with a smile and a full belly.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely delicious, with a unique Italian and Caribbean fusion that's full of flavour and made with real passion – think homemade arancini and creole shrimp that leave you wanting more.
-
The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in, with that personal touch that really makes a visit special.
-
It's got a wonderfully quirky and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a laid-back lunch or a cosy evening, and it's even dog-friendly, which is a bonus if you're out with your furry mate.
-
Supporting a small independent spot like this feels great, as it's all about fresh ingredients and heartfelt service that shines through in every meal.
Cons
-
It's on the first floor, which might not be the easiest for everyone to access, especially if stairs are a challenge.
-
The operating hours can be a bit limited, often closing early in the afternoon, so it might not suit late-night cravings or spontaneous evenings out.
-
With such high demand and rave reviews, it could get booked up quickly, making it tricky to pop in without planning ahead.

My family and I ate at the quirky farm bistro today for lunch.
Firstly, the owners were extremely friendly, accommodating and very attentive, we really enjoyed chatting with them during our time at the bistro. Supporting local businesses is our top priority when dining out.
They are also dog friendly.
We required gluten free and vegetarian options, the menu accommodated our needs and there were many options available for us. The food was hot and delicious, we would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere independently run, with great customer service/owners and excellent food!
Amazing food & service! What a little treasure in the heart of Harrogate!
Every meal was outstanding, if you haven't tried here yet then definitely do! Thank you & we will be back very soon!
Called in here this morning for a bacon sandwich it was excellent! The bistro has a lovely atmosphere the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious 😋
What a quirky, delightful find, this Italian/Caribbean fusion restaurant is! Food was delicious & obviously all home made. We struggled to choose as the menu was so interesting! We enjoyed creole shrimp & an arancini for starters then pork milanese & blackened pan fried fish for mains. So we both had an Italian & Caribbean style dish. Neither disappointed! Empty plates all round.
Oh yes reasonably priced too!
As we were the last diners to leave, we enjoyed a chat with the two sisters (owner with her partner & front-of-house respectively). Perfect end to the dinner.
Ps thank you for the onward tip- The Blues Club was good fun!
Saw this place walking around town, but it was only open at lunchtime. Searching the net for somewhere to eat tonight and saw it was open, quick message and yes, a table for two was available. Fantastic rustic, quirky ambience, wonderfully relaxed, welcoming service and absolutely fabulous food and wine. We have never been to Harrogate before, came for a short break, it's a lovely place, and we would definitely revisit Harrogate just to come here again!. Thank you Lise and Fabrizio for a most enjoyable, culinary evening and experience.
