About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Mykonos Bar & Grill – it's one of those places that really brings a slice of Greece to Harrogate, with its mouthwatering homemade dishes and that feel-good atmosphere you'd expect from a proper Greek taverna. I love how they've nailed the authentic cuisine; the lamb is so tender and full of flavour, and the starters are just spot on, making it easy to see why so many folks rave about it. The service is another highlight – the team is genuinely friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Plus, it's great for get-togethers with options for outdoor seating or a private room for parties, and they've got plenty of choices for different diets, so no one feels left out. On the flip side, it's not without its drawbacks; the prices are a bit steep, so it might not be ideal if you're watching the pennies, and I've heard a few grumbles about the tip being added automatically, which can feel a little off. Also, while most of the food is brilliant, it seems like some mains haven't quite lived up to expectations for everyone, based on what I've seen. All in all, if you're after a taste of the Mediterranean with good company, it's worth a visit, but just go in with your eyes open to the costs and keep expectations realistic for the full experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely delicious and authentic, with homemade Greek dishes that really capture that holiday spirit – think tender lamb and beautifully seasoned starters that leave you wanting more.
-
The service is top-notch; the staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a fantastic atmosphere, with a relaxing interior and outdoor seating that's perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco, especially on a nice evening.
-
They cater brilliantly to different dietary needs, offering pescatarian, vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options, so everyone's covered.
-
Ideal for groups or celebrations, with a private function room that can hold up to 30 people, and you can even play your own music to set the mood.
Cons
-
It can be a bit on the pricey side, so you might want to save it for a special occasion rather than a casual night out.
-
Some folks have mentioned that the service tip is added to the bill without asking, which feels a tad presumptuous.
-
Not every dish hits the mark; a few reviews noted that certain mains were disappointing, even if the starters shine.
-
Outdoor seating is first-come, first-served, so you can't always rely on snagging a spot outside, which might be a bummer on a sunny day.

Staff was amazing and so was the food one of the best we have been to little more expensive but we'll worth the money definitely recommend 👌
Fantastic greek cuisine, the lamb was so tender, jus was rich and flavoursome, service was great too. Just a beautiful restaurant serving amazing food highly recommended!
Amazing restaurant with homemade Greek food. All dishes were delicious, beautifully served and seasoned. Loved it ❤️
Taste was OK, but, at this price level, I am sure you can find many slightly better options. We ordered the seafood meze menu, all fine, but nothing special. Service tip should not be in the bill without asking.
Good; but not great. We were so looking forward to some authentic and tasty Greek food for dinner - and after reading all the 5* reviews the bar was set high!
The food we chose was the Vegetarian meze and mixed souvlaki. The starters and middles were very good! But both mains were disappointing. There was veggie moussaka and spanakopita tasted reheated and bland. The mixed souvlaki was okay but it was £14.65 for two meat kebabs and a mound of rice with salsa (??), that didn’t feel like great value.
The drinks prices are very high so be aware if you’re planning to have a few beers or wines with your meal.
Overall it was good, but as Greece is our second home, it wasn’t good enough to be 5* for us.
