About This Pub

Oh, Trotters in Harrogate is just the sort of place that reminds you why we love a good pub – it's got that genuine, unpretentious feel that's a breath of fresh air compared to some of the flashier spots around. I have to say, the staff really go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and the regulars chip in with that lovely community spirit, which makes popping in for a drink feel like catching up with mates. The prices are spot on for a casual night out, and if you're into your sports, they've got the games on, which is always a winner. On the flip side, it's a tad on the small side, so if you're after somewhere spacious for a larger group, you might find it a bit snug. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area, as it's one of those places that leaves you with a smile.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's a cosy little spot with a great atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a pint and some good music in a relaxed setting.
  • Prices are really reasonable, offering great value without breaking the bank.
  • They've got sports on the telly, which is brilliant if you're a footie fan looking to catch a match.
  • The regulars add to the charm, creating a warm, community feel that's hard to beat in Harrogate.
Cons
  • The space is quite small, so it might feel a bit cramped if it gets busy, especially on weekends.
  • It could do with a bit more variety in the offerings, as it's more of a straightforward pub experience without many fancy extras.

a world away from the all the poncy , overpriced bars in otherwise lovely Harrogate. This is the go to place when we're in town. Great staff and music in a cosy wee space.

My friend and I went on a weekend break to Harrogate, to celebrate my Daughter, and her Daughters 40th birthdays. We went into several bars during the 2 nights, but I have to say, the best bar by far, was Trotters Bar. They had football on as well, which was great, as we are all football mad! Nigel the landlord made us so welcome. He asked us for our preferred music, and played everything we asked for. He could not have done more for us. The locals were really friendly to and made us feel really welcome.I would highly recommend a visit there. We will definitely go there again. Thank you Nigel for making our weekend memorable. Friendly welcoming staff. The regulars were welcoming also. Enjoyed playing a bit of catch with the dog. Enjoyed the theme and artwork on display. Had sport on tv. Well worth calling In for a few.
