About This Pub

Ah, Queens Tavern – what a gem tucked away in Beeston, Nottingham. From the reviews I've seen, it's got this infectious energy that just draws you in; folks are raving about the wide array of beers, cocktails, and spirits that make it stand out as one of the best micro pubs around. The decor is spot on, creating a cosy spot where you can relax and chat, and the team behind the bar are absolute legends, full of humour and that genuine warmth that makes you want to stick around for another round. They've nailed the food too, with delicious nachos, pizzas, and a steak that's apparently to die for – it's all about those fresh, hearty options that hit the spot after a long day. But, on the flip side, it's a bit of a shame there aren't any vegetarian dishes, so if that's your thing, you might have to look elsewhere or make do. Plus, with no clear opening times or an online presence, it can feel a tad unreliable for planning a proper night out. Overall, though, it's a fantastic place for a laugh with mates, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a whale of a time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The selection of beers, cocktails, and spirits is absolutely brilliant – perfect for anyone wanting to try something new.
  • The decor and atmosphere are spot on, making it feel really cosy and welcoming right from the get-go.
  • The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and full of charm, often going the extra mile to make you feel at home, like offering a free pint.
  • Food options are a real treat, with tasty nachos, pizzas, and even a top-notch steak that's freshly sourced.
Cons
  • There aren't any vegetarian choices on offer, which could be a letdown if you're after something meat-free.
  • No operating hours are listed, so it might be a bit of a faff trying to plan a visit.
  • As it's a smaller spot with no website or online presence, it could be tricky to find out more or keep up with what's on.

Thought I'd stop in for a quickie. Wet the pallette. I didn't leave. Have you heard of Project X? You haven't seen anything yet. Writing this from in the kitchen having a cheeky one with the chef. Surprise appearance from Tenerife Jay after a spell in the Canaries.

Nachos on tap, pizza on tap, beer on tap, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Last time I felt so welcomed, I was at my own birthday party. Close links to Rock City, Hucknall and Uni of Nottingham

This place….is something else. I have never experienced an experience like this experience before. They had no vegetarian options but that’s okay because I’m not a vegetarian. I just fancied a bit of leaf this particular day. Jesus time.

Had an amazing 3 course meal here. Chef does an amazing steak with freshly sourced beef. Owner told me about his experience in the army reserves truly inspirational. Owner was very welcoming and is full of charm and humour. Even got greeted to a free pint! Where else do you get that nowadays? Got a darts board and friendly dog.
