About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the Premier Inn in Rugby – it's one of those places that feels like a reliable old mate, you know? Tucked away by the canal in Warwickshire, it's got that quiet charm that makes it easy to relax after a good meal or a catch-up over drinks. The rooms are spot on; they're clean, comfy, and have these modern touches like mood lighting and free Wi-Fi that really add to the experience. And the staff? They're absolute stars, always friendly and eager to help, especially with breakfast, which is a proper treat with loads of choices and cheerful service that sets you up nicely for the day. On the flip side, though, the prices do seem a bit on the high side for what you're getting – it's not exactly budget-friendly, and you'll have to fork out extra for faster Wi-Fi if you need it. Plus, the lighting in the rooms can be a bit underwhelming, and without air con, it might get stuffy on hotter days, even with the fan they provide. All things considered, it's a solid choice if you're in the area for a pint and a stay, but I'd say it's best for those who don't mind a few niggles in exchange for the friendly atmosphere and that peaceful canal view. Give it a go if you're passing through; it's got that warm, homely feel that makes you want to come back.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with modern designs and handy features like mood lighting and free Wi-Fi that make for a relaxing stay.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready with a smile and great service, especially at breakfast where they go the extra mile.
-
Breakfast is a real winner – plenty of options, well-prepared, and served by enthusiastic folks, perfect for starting your day right.
-
Free parking on-site is a brilliant touch, and the location by the canal offers a peaceful spot to unwind after a meal or a pint.
Cons
-
The room prices can feel a bit steep for a Premier Inn, especially when extras like better Wi-Fi come at an additional cost.
-
Lighting in the rooms is a tad dim, which might make it feel a bit gloomy if you're not a fan of spotlights.
-
No air conditioning available, though they do provide a fan – it could get uncomfortable on warmer evenings.
-
While the hotel's connected to a Harvester for food and drinks, it's not always clear how seamless that integration is, and some might find the overall setup a smidge basic for the price.

Had a great overnight stay here. The Harvester next door was pleasant and the food service was good. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Breakfast was served by 2 very enthusiastic and friendly chaps who were happy to be of service. All good indeed.
Great stay at the Premier Inn, friendly staff and very accommodating chef at breakfast.
Only criticism of the stay is the lighting in the room is a bit dingy with just one spot light as you enter, and would benefit with AC although a fan was provided.
Room price is a lot for a Premier Inn, however, the rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is good with great service. For £150 per night, you'd expect decent wifi, but if you want that, it's another £5 per day. I'd only stay here again as a last resort
Our stay at Premier Inn was really nice. We arrived and we given free complimentary parking by the receptionist.
Breakfast was really good with a wide selection of things on offer. Staff were friendly and also asked if I had any allergies. Would recommend for anyone staying in the area.
Arrived late but enjoyed the availability of the pub next door, the rooms felt initially cold but soon heated up once heaters initiated.
Room was clean washing facilities excellent, tea / coffee available but chose to sleep.
Very quiet & comfortable bed 🛌 undisturbed. Breakfast excellent if a little expensive
Overall enjoyed the one night lay over
