About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about Premier Inn Bromsgrove Central – it's one of those places that feels like a dependable old mate, you know? The location's brilliant; you're right by the golf centre and just a short hop into town, making it easy to pop out for a wander or drive around Worcestershire. The staff are an absolute gem, always cheerful and quick to help with any hiccups, which really lifts the whole experience. Rooms are just what you'd expect from Premier Inn – clean, cosy, with those plush beds and decent showers that leave you feeling refreshed. Plus, perks like free parking and Wi-Fi add to the appeal, and they've thought about families and accessibility, which is great if you're travelling with little ones or need a bit more space. On the flip side, it's a bit gutting that the pub's closed up shop; you might arrive expecting a proper evening pint, only to find a small diner with a limited menu, and the online pics haven't caught up yet. Breakfast is another area where it doesn't quite hit the mark – it can be slow, with food turning up cold or not enough options, and the overall feel of the place can seem a tad worn in spots, like dodgy toilets or rooms that aren't fully sorted. Still, if you're after a straightforward base for exploring, it's worth considering, but maybe plan your meals elsewhere for a fuller pub experience. All in all, it's got that solid, no-nonsense charm, but with a few rough edges that keep it from being top-notch.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The location is absolutely spot on – it's ideal if you're driving or fancy a stroll into Bromsgrove town centre.
  • The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful; they go out of their way to sort things out, which makes you feel right at home.
  • Rooms are clean and comfy, with those super-comfy beds and powerful showers that Premier Inn is known for – perfect for a good rest after a day out.
  • Free parking and Wi-Fi are a nice touch, and they've got family and accessible rooms that cater to different needs without any fuss.
Cons
  • It's a real shame the pub has shut down; the photos online are a bit misleading, and you're left with just a small kitchen/diner offering a limited menu.
  • Breakfast can be disappointing at times – it might take ages to arrive, and it's often cold or poorly stocked, which puts a damper on the start of your day.
  • Some areas feel a bit run down, like out-of-order toilets or rooms that aren't always perfectly prepared, such as beds not made or not enough towels.
  • Service can be inconsistent due to what seems like minimal staffing, even though the team is trying their best.

Stayed for 2 nights with kids, overall it was fine and as expected. Positives: - 1. location ideal for car or a walk into town 2. quiet 3. friendly staff Things to improve: - 1. There is no pub this has shut down photos need updating. There is a small kitchen/diner however with small menu. 2. Booked a room for 4, but room was only setup for 2. Staff made up the room when asked however. 3. No draft beer only bottles which were a bit warm. 4. Breakfast, didn't keep up with demand of hot food, even though it didn't seem that busy. There was never a full stock of all ingredients over both days.

I'd start by saying the staff here work really hard and do try. But Premier inn are choosing to staff the hotel to the bare minimum which affects the service. The breakfast was poorly stocked (a delivery only arrived mid service) and the toilets were out of order. The hotel feels quite run down. I can only assume premier inn are continuing to cut costs to protect shareholder profit.

Great location for Bromsgrove and surrounding areas. Rooms are clean and smart and bed comfortable as you'd expect at Premier Inn. Good accessible rooms and restaurant. Although my accessible room had a bath??? Which was very difficult. Food is decent - we had dinner and breakfast and it was well priced. Very happy.

Great room, really friendly and helpful staff. Heater wasn’t working in our original room so immediately given a different room by the desk manager. Breakfast was amazing, cooked to order and table served, best breakfast ever in a Prem Inn (thank you Mike!). Would happily stay here again and recommend to others. Short walk into Bromsgrove town, quiet location and easy access. Thank you!
