About This Pub
Oh, I've got to say, Pray Tell has quickly become one of those places you just want to keep coming back to—it's got that effortless charm that makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in. The drinks are where it truly shines; whether it's the rotating craft beers, those unique cocktails that surprise and delight, or the nice wines on offer, everything's clearly made with real care and expertise. The staff are an absolute highlight too, always chatting away and giving brilliant recommendations that make you feel like you're chatting with old friends. It's wonderfully family and dog-friendly, with a chilled atmosphere that's just right for a casual afternoon or evening out, and that outdoor seating in a peaceful spot adds a lovely touch on nicer days. On the flip side, the opening times can be a tad unclear with all those varying listings, so you might want to confirm before you go, and it's a shame their online setup is just Instagram—nothing fancy for planning visits. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for anyone looking for quality over quantity, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in the area; it's got that balance of relaxed fun without any pretence.
Pros and Cons

-
It's got such a welcoming and chilled atmosphere, perfect for popping in with family, dogs, or even on your own for a relaxed catch-up.
-
The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with spot-on recommendations that make you feel right at home.
-
Outdoor seating in a quiet, pedestrianised area is a lovely touch, especially on a sunny day, making it feel like a little continental escape.
-
They've got a fantastic vibe with great music and snacks, turning a simple visit into a memorable outing.
Cons
-
The operating hours can seem a bit confusing with multiple listings, so it's worth double-checking before heading out to avoid any disappointment.
-
Their online presence is pretty basic, just an Instagram page, which might make it tricky to get more details or book ahead if you're planning something special.
-
With a smaller cocktail menu, it might not have the variety some folks are after, though that does mean everything's crafted to be high quality.

It's my favourite bar in Sale, I've only been there twice when visiting family in the area and each time I've loved it. The beer is exceptional, the cocktails unique and fabulous, plus great snacks. Pray Tell has a continental ambience with lots of families, dogs, chilled people, and the super friendly and helpful staff.
This was my first visit to Pray Tell and it won't be my last!
The outdoor seating is on a pedestrianised road so it's lovely and quiet and the benches are very comfortable. The cocktail menu is small, which in my experience always means they are going to be high quality, and Pray Tell is no exception! I had a couple of negronis and the Manhattan, and they were all very tasty and beautifully presented.
We had a chat with the owner while we were ordering and you can see the pride and passion she has in her business. She was serving on her own, and it was very impressive to see her efficiency and proactivity to get the orders out quickly, but without compromising on the quality of the drink or the customer experience.
The venue is dog friendly, I was with a friend in a wheelchair who found the venue very accessible, and my sister had her baby with her as well. If we were sat inside it might have been a bit of a squeeze with the buggy, but sat outside it felt very spacious and relaxing.
I would highly recommend this venue, and I will certainly be visiting again.
Best bar in Sale, great vibe, great social, and most of all the best drinks, 8 top craft beers, 2 cask ales rotating permanently and great cocktails too, this bar is for the lovers if quality drinks in a chilled atmosphere with a great selection of music
This is my favourite bar. I love the range of beers and they also have very nice wine. The atmosphere is great and the staff obliging and friendly. I often venture in on my own with my dog and always feel welcome. A great addition to Sale.
Our favourite bar, we are so lucky to have Pray Tell in Sale! Fantastic variety of rotating beers & wines on offer. The most welcoming team, Beth really knows her stuff when it comes to all things alcohol and is great with the recommendations.
Dog & baby friendly too!
