About This Pub

Oh, Patch is just lovely, isn't it? From what I've gathered chatting about it, it's this cosy restaurant in the heart of Colchester that's all about feel-good food and a welcoming environment. The meals are proper standout – think tasty shakshuka and fresh brunches made with care, using local ingredients that really shine through. The staff? They're an absolute delight, always on hand with helpful tips and that personal touch that makes you feel right at home. It's got this relaxed, arty vibe that's perfect for a catch-up with friends or even just a solo coffee. On the flip side, though, the hours can be a bit tricky if you're hoping for a late dinner, as it winds down earlier some days, and it does get popular, so you might find yourself in a queue or needing to book. Still, it's a gem for anyone who appreciates good, thoughtful dining without the fuss – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area; you won't be disappointed!

Cons

  • With its popularity, it could get quite busy during peak times, so you might have to wait for a table without booking ahead.
  • The price level isn't specified, so it might feel a tad pricey if you're after something more budget-friendly, though the quality makes it worth it.
