About This Pub

Ah, the Park Inn in Darwen – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a relaxed pint and a chat. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this brilliant friendly vibe that's perfect if you're after a proper traditional experience, with open fires adding to the cosy feel and the staff going out of their way to make you feel at home. The beer selection is spot on, especially if you fancy something like Hawkstone lager, and it's a top choice for grabbing a refreshment after a stroll around the moors. Plus, the food sounds absolutely smashing, especially for those impromptu gatherings. On the flip side, it can be a tad cliquey when you first walk in, so you might need to pop by a few times to get that real sense of belonging. And while the drinks are generally well-received, a few reviewers mentioned they'd love to see more variety in ales and IPAs to mix things up a bit. All in all, it's a solid spot for a good night out, with plenty of charm, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind for the full picture.

As traditional as a pub gets, massive building with open fires, great selection of beers- Hawkstone lager on tap for £5, if that’s not a reason to visit I don’t know what is. Nice people, ideal stopping place for a refreshment after a walk round Darwen Moor with the dog. Few pubs like this now, so get in and enjoy it!

Just a proper local pub. Good selection of beers, friendly staff and a real mix of customers 👌 couple more ales/ipa style beers wouldn't go amiss but I guess they know their customers ..
