About This Pub

Ah, the Greenfield Inn – what a lovely spot it is, tucked away in Darwen. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that perfect mix of a cosy, family-friendly bar downstairs and a more relaxed restaurant upstairs, making it ideal whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for a full meal. The staff sound absolutely top-notch, always attentive with a smile, and the food? Well, folks are raving about the fresh pizzas and hearty Sunday roasts that come at such reasonable prices – you won't leave feeling short-changed. Throw in a wide range of beers, live music to get the atmosphere buzzing, and that warm, welcoming feel, and you've got yourself a winner. On the flip side, the opening times can be a tad confusing, especially with those varying Sunday slots, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any disappointment. And while the online stuff isn't quite up to scratch, once you're there, it's all about enjoying the moment with good company and a cold beer in hand. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area; you might just find your new favourite local.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • They've got a fantastic selection of beers and drinks, plus live music that really livens up the place.
  • The food is spot on – think fresh hot pizza and generous Sunday roasts at prices that won't break the bank.
  • It's got a cosy bar downstairs and a peaceful restaurant upstairs, perfect for everything from a quiet meal to a lively night out.
  • Overall, it's a proper gem with a warm atmosphere that keeps folks coming back for more.
Cons
  • The operating hours can seem a bit inconsistent, especially on Sundays, which might catch you out if you're planning ahead.
  • Their online presence, like the website, isn't the most reliable, so it might be tricky to get all the details before you go.

Was recommended this place by a friend and was glad at how great it were. Friendly family pub downstairs and restaurant upstairs. Food were excellent and I had a Sunday roast that was excellent and a very generous helping too, to my shame I couldn't eat it all but certainly wanted to. (beef incase your wondering) The staff were also polite and friendly, And we will be sure to return to try more from the menu.
