About This Pub
Ah, The Crown – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, friendly vibe, especially if you're looking for an inexpensive night out in Darwen. I love how it's open seven days a week from around 10 in the morning till late, giving you plenty of flexibility for a quick drink or a longer session. The staff often go the extra mile, like sorting out water for your four-legged mate, and they've got classics like Guinness on tap, plus a cracking playlist that hits the spot for rock enthusiasts. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; there've been a couple of reports of staff being a bit short with folks, and the place can get packed into its cosy corners, which might not suit everyone. Oh, and if you're not up for ear-splitting live music that sometimes overtakes the chatter, you might want to check the schedule first. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening – just go in with realistic expectations, and you'll likely have a great time.

Cosy, friendly inner city pub. The pub seemed small, but there were a lot of people there
Rude member of staff who demanded we buy drinks or get out in the first minute of being in the establishment because there were "people waiting to sit down" when the place was almost empty and nobody outside.

An OK pub, no ales in tap that I saw, the live music was too loud, could not here the singer as he was drowned out by guitar and drums.
Great band on tonight - fullbilly. Lots of fab original songs and the odd cover. Fantastic! Get your butt to the crown
