About This Pub
Ah, Oxnoble in Manchester – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a laid-back day out. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real highlight; people are going on about those Sunday dinners being some of the best they've had, with hearty portions and flavours that keep you coming back. The team behind the bar and in the kitchen seem to be nailing the service too, making sure you're looked after from the moment you walk in, which always makes a pub feel more like a home away from home. It's got that easy-going atmosphere that's perfect if you're after a quiet pint or a group meal, and at moderate prices, it's accessible without skimping on quality. On the flip side, though, the website's a tad underwhelming – it's mostly just basic details, so you might need to pop in or check elsewhere for the full scoop. And with a few mixed-up entries on the opening times, it could be worth double-checking before you plan your visit. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in Manchester looking for good grub and a welcoming spot, but like any place, it's not flawless – still, the positives definitely outweigh the niggles, and I'd say it's worth giving it a go for a proper pub experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Sunday dinners are absolutely spot on – folks rave about the beef roast and sides like cauliflower cheese, making it a real treat for a weekend get-together.
-
The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive; mentions of Ben and Shane show they're going the extra mile to make everyone feel right at home.
-
It's got a lovely relaxed atmosphere, with a clean and fresh interior that's perfect for enjoying a few beers or a meal without any fuss.
-
Prices are spot on for what you get – moderate and good value, especially with generous portions that won't break the bank.
Cons
-
The website's a bit basic right now, just a coming soon page, so it might not give you all the info you need before heading over.
-
There are some inconsistencies in the operating hours listed, which could leave you scratching your head about when they're actually open beyond the typical 9am start.

Popped in on Fathers Day and felt very welcomed from the minute we walked in. Had the beef Sunday Dinner and it was the best Sunday dinner I have ever had. We ordered the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets on the side and it was enough for the 3 of us and so worth it. We also ordered the apple crumble and chocolate fudge cake and wow absolutely beautiful. We called in because we were walking past and so glad we did, we left absolutely stuffed. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend and call in again. Thank you for a lovely father's day dinner
Had food here for the first time today. I had the beef Sunday dinner and it was incredible! My girlfriend is from Italy and had her first ever Sunday dinner and rated it 10/10. Will definitely be back again! The service from Ben was amazing!
First time visiting the Oxnoble (party of 3).
On arrival staff were really freindly, pub was relaxed, clean and fresh.
Had the Sunday lunch -which was without doubt one of the best I've had, also had the apple crumble which was delicious.
Complements to the chef.
Prices are as expected within Manchester.
All in all a great experience, would definitely recommend and will be 100% calling in again when next In the area.
We visited the Oxnoble Pub on a Sunday as a group of eight and had a great time. We enjoyed a few beers and tried some items from the lunch menu. The staff were very friendly and attentive – especially Ben, who took excellent care of us. The atmosphere is fantastic and the interior is beautifully done. A great place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks.
Under new management, the Oxnoble lives on. The emphasis on sports is being toned down a bit in favour of a more relaxed atmosphere, and the food (Sunday lunch) was great and plentiful. and didn't break the bank even with a couple of bottles of wine. Shane and the team were very welcoming and we'll certainly be returning.
