About This Pub
Ah, Cask on Liverpool Road – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its charm, especially if you're a fan of a good real ale or craft beer. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic range of well-kept drinks that folks absolutely rave about, like those lush strawberry sours or Pictish El Diablo pints, and at prices that won't leave you out of pocket. The staff are dead helpful and create a welcoming atmosphere, which is always a winner when you're settling in for a chat. It's dog-friendly too, so if you're popping out with your pooch, that's a real bonus. On the downside, it does feel a smidge less cosy than you'd hope – some say it's a bit straightforward without that extra layer of warmth – and the beer garden is quite compact, which might not suit if you're dreaming of a sprawling outdoor area. Still, with a solid 4.7 rating overall, it's well worth a visit for a relaxed drink, especially if you're wandering near Deansgate. All in all, it's a gem with its highs and a few minor lows, making it a solid choice for us pub goers looking for something authentic without the fuss.

This is a really good place for interesting ales and ciders. It could feel a little cosier, but I did like all the beer-themed decor, and the fact it's on Liverpool Road :-)
Stumbled upon this place on the way to my hostel for the night. Intrigued by the bright blue color, the tiny facade, and the name. Turns out it’s a proper pub with an impressive selection of draft beer and cask ale. Cozy, pretty simple, lots of music posters. Just a good ole boozer and reasonably priced. Quite busy and rightfully so.
Great little real ale pub that really lives up to its name. Good selection of well kept keg and cask. I had a lush strawberry sour at £6. Very knowledgeable staff. Small beer garden (it was March, we didn't explore it, but it was popular with some hardy souls). Dog friendly- that's not our dog. Loved it
Quiet when we arrived on a Saturday at 12:30.
I chose a good pint from four pumps on the bar. There is also a huge craft keg choice. German and Belgian bottles.
Nice barman. Looked like it could be interesting with a few in. Music I believe.
Well worth a little detour off Deansgate.
Been here a few times over the years since it opened in what used to be a very dilapidated block. Great for Real ale drinkers. I had an excellent pint of Pictish El Diablo. Very friendly. Well worth visiting. Good selection of drinks to suit everyone
