About This Pub

Ah, Off The Wall in Luton – it's one of those local spots that feels like a proper community hub, you know? I've heard it's brilliant for catching the footy or rugby on their big screens, and the drink offers are spot on if you're after something affordable without breaking the bank. The addition of games like darts and pool really adds to the fun, and it's heartwarming that they welcome families and pets, making it more inclusive than your average boozer. On the flip side, though, some chats with regulars suggest the service isn't always up to par – there've been stories of staff being a tad rude or even discriminatory, which is disappointing and could spoil an otherwise good evening. Plus, if you're thinking of grabbing some food, it might take a while, and the management seems to have a few hiccups, like muddled closing times. All in all, it's worth popping in for a pint and a game if you're in the area, but I'd say go in with realistic expectations and keep an eye out for those vibes.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got a cracking selection of drinks at really affordable prices, perfect for a casual night out.
  • Loads of HD screens showing live sports like football and rugby, making it a top spot for match days.
  • The atmosphere is generally relaxed and welcoming, with fun extras like a dart board and pool table to keep things lively.
  • They're family and pet friendly, which is a lovely touch if you're out with little ones or your furry mate.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit inconsistent, with some reports of staff being rude or unprofessional, which puts a damper on things.
  • There have been issues with management, like confusing opening hours and even staff behaviour that's less than ideal.
  • Food service is a letdown sometimes, with long waits and disappointing experiences that might leave you frustrated.
  • It's not for everyone, as a few folks have mentioned discriminatory comments, which is a real shame and something to be aware of.

A nice pub. Don’t expect the world. But if you want a cheap drink and lots of tvs to watch the football. Crack on. However a big shoutout to Grace. A bar person that can judge who is next and remembers the small things like no ice. Top service. This pub won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But it ticked all the boxes for me personally

Super concerned with how this chain is being managed , we arrived at 1:15am and was told the bar was closing when questioned how this was and that you was open until 3am I had a very drunk GM called Lesley stumble to the door and said last entry is at 1:30 confused … me and my friend showed her the time and then was told the bar is closed …. Very very confused … when questioning Lesley on her drinking as she got visibly upset and was told we were definitely not coming in … which we were not allowed in anyway … as I have worked for Stonegate previously and very aware these are not your values ….. I do expect a speedy response … do better

After coming back from a day in London, just wanted to pop in for a couple of drinks before going home. Arrived at 1:15am to be told we weren’t allowed in and last entry is 1:30 (?), GM Leslie seemed intoxicated herself and argued with us at the door as to why, didn’t even know her bar was owned by Stonegate still. Used to be a good place to go 5/10 years ago but would 100% avoid now.

Worst service ever seen by the bartenders. They are making fun of the guests behind the bar. Making racist comments. Not recommend at all. Food was good but it took so long to come to the table. Bartenders are giving fake promises on food timing to just get the order in and making guests wait for so long. That girl in blonde hair is so rude not even to us but to others too. She is just not seem to be happy with her job. Making comments after taking all the orders from the guests to their way of talking when guests don’t understand the menu. She is the worst bartender i’ve ever seen in my life. Being a manager of the restaurant, I really didn’t expect this from the restaurant where the food is so good and the atmosphere is so magical to keep the guests there for long. But this kind of service ruined everything when guests want to stay there for long to enjoy. We wanted to spend the whole evening there and wanted to order some more but she makes us leave the place and I won’t be coming back again. I defiantly knows a lot of guests leaves everyday because of this kind service by these bartenders.

My first visit yesterday. I ordered 5 small plates. I enjoyed most of it, but the potato skins wasn't what I was expecting. It looked like jacket potato with mainly spring onion. I have had them before in another pub belonging to the same chain in Worthing, and they were completely different. I will return though, but probably for lunch
