About This Pub
Ah, O'Briens – what a gem for those evenings when you're in the mood for a proper pint and some good craic. From what I've gathered from the reviews, this place really shines with its Guinness, which regulars swear is the best you'll find around these parts; it's got that perfect pour that keeps people coming back. The atmosphere is spot on too – think cosy corners filled with friendly faces, where it's easy to strike up a chat with anyone, and the staff often go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. It's inexpensive, which is always a plus for us everyday folk, and it's open most days from around lunchtime onwards, making it handy for a quick stop or a longer session. On the flip side, it's not without its quirks; being a small spot, it can feel a tad crowded, and it's more about mingling than finding a quiet nook, so if you're looking for a peaceful read or a romantic whisper, you might end up feeling a bit out of place. Plus, like any pub, there are days when the service might not be at its peak, but overall, with a solid 4.6 rating from heaps of happy visitors, it's clear this one's a winner for anyone seeking that authentic Irish pub experience in the heart of London. I'd say give it a go – you might just find your new favourite local!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Guinness is absolutely top-notch – folks rave about it being the best in West London or even the whole UK, which is saying something for us beer lovers!
-
It's got a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere, perfect for chatting with new mates; one chap mentioned getting offered crisps out of the blue, which just adds to the charm.
-
The staff are generally lovely and make you feel right at home, with a cosy, unpretentious vibe that draws in all sorts of people for a good old social evening.
Cons
-
It can get a bit packed and lively, so if you're after a quiet spot for reading or an intimate chat, it might not be the best fit – one reviewer noted it's not ideal for the shy ones.
-
The place is on the small side and not overly polished, which some might see as a downside, especially if you're expecting something more refined.
-
There might be the odd off moment with staff, like one person having a bad day, but hey, we're all human.

Best Guinness in west London by far, that's from a British Indian.
Could be the best pint of Guinness in the uk
This has quickly become my favourite pub.
The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great and the Guinness is excellent.
Highly recommended.
That’s exactly what I expect from a local Irish pub. Small, cosy, friendly and packed with happy people up to chat and socialise. Don’t come here if you’re shy or looking for a place where to read your book or having an intimate date. We ended up to get offered a pack of crisps. We are still try to understand who we have to thank.
Living for a years in the area, first time popped in with a mate.
Small, not polished pub (I like it)
Guiness is good. (4.60£ pint ,december 2023)
Bar tender (woman) had a bad day probably, but everything ok,anyway I'm not a fan of artifical politeness.
People in the pub ,all ages, all Irish .
Easy to talk with.
Jukebox in aux mode, music was little bit to quiet for the loud crowd.Because of it one star down.😃
Did not have any change so did not try to use it,next time.
Will come again.
EDIT: Came again for a few pints, great Guinness, relaxed atmosphere, everything fine, very nice and friendly feeling.
