About This Pub

You know, when you fancy a proper pub experience in Stratford, O12 Bar & Grill really hits the mark in so many ways – it's got this warm, vibrant feel that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The food's a highlight, with a mix of continental and ethnic dishes that are fresh and innovative, and it's all at prices that won't leave you out of pocket, which is always a winner for a casual night out. I love how they've got options for everyone, whether you're after light bites, platters, or even something for the kids, and the staff are just so polite and accommodating, sorting out bookings without any fuss. Plus, if you're into sports, that big screen and lively music add a fun buzz, perfect for cheering on your team or hosting a get-together in their separate party room. On the other hand, it can get a bit too noisy with the tunes cranked up, which might spoil a quiet catch-up with mates, and I've heard a few grumbles about the food not always being as spot-on as it could be – things like greasy bits or a dip in authenticity that leaves you a tad disappointed. Still, overall, it's a solid choice if you're after good value and a welcoming atmosphere, just keep in mind it might not be the place for a hushed conversation. I'd say give it a go if you're in the area; it's got that charm that keeps you coming back, warts and all.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food offers a great variety with tasty, fresh options that cater to different tastes, making it easy for groups to find something everyone enjoys.
  • Friendly and welcoming staff who provide excellent service, going out of their way to accommodate bookings and special requests.
  • A lively atmosphere with good music, a big screen for sports, and even a separate room for parties, which makes it ideal for social gatherings or watching the footy.
  • Affordable prices that deliver good value for money, with reasonably priced cocktails, wines, and meals that don't break the bank.
  • Conveniently located in Stratford, near the Olympic stadium, making it a handy spot for a casual meet-up or a bite after exploring the area.
Cons
  • The music can get a bit too loud at times, making it tricky to have a proper chat and potentially overwhelming for a relaxed evening.
  • There are occasional inconsistencies with the food, like it not always living up to its authentic promise or some dishes feeling a tad greasy.
  • Service might have minor hitches, such as not offering complimentary items to every table, which can leave you feeling a bit overlooked.
  • It seems like the place might not always be at its best, with some reports of declining quality over visits, so it pays to check in advance.

Nice large place. A bit noisy as the music was a little loud. Separate back room for parties is nice. We were 12 adults and 5 little kids. Everyone found something they liked. Top marks for the momo steam buns.

Fantastic service. Great Food. Very Friendly staff. Big Screen for sports. Good Dj and lively music. We loved hosting the Cricket Finals here for India Champions Trophy and they opened early for us. Highly recommend

The authenticity of food is going downhill. We have been here a few times in the last couple of months, and I have been disappointed every time. 😔 On our last visit, they didn't offer us complementary poppadoms while every other table was offered one. The place is basically a pub and restaurant in the same space and music from the pub was so loud that you couldn't even talk. The place could do with fewer noises at least at dinner time. You can definitely turn it to bar or disco after 9, but at 8, that was nuisance. The food was okay. Some dishes lacked flavours and authenticity.

OK.. if you're talking value for money, good vibe, polite staff good enough to good tasting food, than its gotta be 5 stars all round.... not coz its the tastiest in the world but coz it is tasty enough for the price charged. only got 4 stars coz today's fish looked a bit greasy but was still crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. .. Although I didn't order alcohol this night... a DOUBLE spirit with chaser is easily one of the cheapest around- think £6/7 and you can taste the alcohol. During the working week right up till 5pm Thursday. This half a chicken, with seasoned rice and a little salad in the picture is a Blue boy straight, eat in OR take away. You can swap for plain white rice or chips. In the evening and Fridays, add another £2/3 , sry not MORE specific but price wise , food and drinks was so reasonable that didn't note if we was £1 or £2 out... I questioned the size of my portion of chips which looked too small to accompany the fish all the way through my meal as fish was a decent size... they promptly sent another bowl of chips with a smile and no hesitation... Thank you.

Just Real
I booked a table for my birthday for 6 people and we payed around 70-80 for the whole bill also I had to call to do but the staff were very polite and had no problems booking a table. Even when I was 20 mins late there was no issues we waited left the 5 mins to be sat down which was quick, after we had a very amazing server she remembered our orders perfectly, now on to the food they had an amazing menu selection the food was out with a good timing nice and hot, very delicious, we had ribs, chicken curry, dumplings with curry sous yum and chicken tika masala plus vanilla ice cream. The drinks were really good too. I would recommend.
