About This Pub
Ah, North Street Social – it's one of those places in Wolverhampton that really captures the spirit of a good night out, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are the real stars here; they're friendly as can be, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone feels welcome, which is just what you want after a long day. The drinks selection is spot on too, with a great range of ales, ciders, and cocktails that pair perfectly with the live music and events – it's especially handy if you're popping in before a Wolves game at Molineux. The eclectic vibe gives it that unique edge, not your standard pub feel, and being right in the town centre makes it dead easy to get to. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; there are a few gripes about the owners being a bit sharp-tongued at times, which could spoil the fun if you're not expecting it. Service can be patchy too, like when they run out of beer during a gig or things feel a tad disorganised, and without any air con, it can turn into a bit of a sweatbox on warmer nights or when the crowd's going wild. Overall, though, if you're up for a lively spot with mates, it's worth a go – just keep an eye out for those off moments and you'll likely have a top time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – always greeting you with a smile and a friendly chat, making you feel right at home.
-
It's got a cracking selection of drinks, from tasty ales and ciders to spot-on cocktails, perfect for a good catch-up.
-
The vibe is spot on for events and live music, especially before or after a Wolves game; it's lively and a bit different from the usual spots.
-
Being slap bang in the heart of Wolverhampton town centre makes it super convenient, just a stone's throw from The Halls and Molineux.
-
The atmosphere is eclectic and welcoming, with great tunes and a chilled-out area for when you need a breather.
Cons
-
There have been a few tales of the owners being a bit rude or disrespectful, which can really put a dampener on things.
-
Service can be hit or miss; sometimes they run out of drinks or feel understaffed, leaving you waiting longer than you'd like.
-
No air con means it can get uncomfortably warm during busy events or when everyone's up dancing.
-
Some events seem a bit disorganised, like last-minute DJ swaps, which might leave you hoping for a smoother night.

come for a pre gig drink here and there was one person serving, she was a master in the craft, and nobody waited too long despite the amount of people in there, so good that we returned post gig and she was still there smiling and serving quickly and proffesionally even put some great tunes on for us post gig people. thank you rachael i hope i remebered your name correctly :) give this bar person a raise!
Came here for a hip hop event with friends on a week day. Quick service at the bar, good vibes. No air con it really got in there with everyone dancing but a nice chillout area near the toilets.
Called in whilst visiting the Civic Hall for a Dylan gig.
Some nice ales on offer, barmaid was amazing, the pub was very busy and she somehow managed to serve everyone, plus the dj played the best of Dylan all night.
What's not to like 😁
Came for an upstairs gig.Ran out of beer upstairs and the choice wasn't great.Good gig venue though.
