About This Pub

Ah, No.10 in Aberdeen – it's one of those places that just feels right from the moment you step in. I've heard from quite a few folks that the atmosphere is spot on; it's cosy and not at all overwhelming, making it perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner. The food really steals the show, with rave reviews about the Sunday roasts, pasta dishes, and beef that are cooked to perfection using fresh, local ingredients – you can tell they've put thought into making each meal something to remember. And the team there? They're an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and just the right amount of attention without hovering. On the flip side, if you're after something specific like a wider range of cheeses with your biscuits, it might not quite live up to expectations, and it's wise to book in advance to avoid any hassle if it's a popular night. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a relaxed spot with top-notch grub and service – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, perfect for a cosy catch-up without it getting too rowdy.
  • The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious Sunday roasts, tasty pasta specials, and well-cooked meals with generous portions that really hit the spot.
  • Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, striking just the right balance so you're looked after without feeling crowded.
  • The menu is varied and inspired by classic brasserie cooking, using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients for a memorable dining experience.
  • It's in a stylish, spacious spot in Aberdeen's West End, with modern touches like exposed granite walls and comfy booths that make it welcoming for any occasion.
Cons
  • One minor quibble from some is that the cheese and biscuits selection could do with a bit more variety to make it feel more substantial.
  • Booking ahead is highly recommended, as walk-ins might lead to disappointment if it's busy.

Eleven of us had a meal here. I cannot fault service or the food we ordered. We all had a really nice meal which was priced about right. However, I have a recommendation. A selection of scottish cheese and biscuits would infer to most people four or five cheeses and many more home made biscuits and chutney. I was thinking Morangie Brie, Lanark Blue or may be Strathdon Blue and some tasty wholemeal biscuits. What arrived were two enormous lumps of 'maybe' brie and stilton from a local supermarket, well that is what they tasted of. The biscuits could have been a Christmas selection packet of Jacobs, just five small ones. You can do better than this, sell us a story with local produce. Or if indeed they were local find something a little stronger so we can remember the experience - then you will get 5 ⭐️

We were here on a Friday night in August for dinner. We had a great meal here. The service was great - probably the best we have had in a long time. Attentive but not at the table every two mins. Ideal. We really enjoyed the food. The pasta special was very, very nice. I really enjoyed the Beef Rib - very tender and tasty. Next time we are in Aberdeen will be back.
