About This Pub

Ah, The Queen Vic – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a good night out in Aberdeen. From what I've gathered, the atmosphere is spot on, with a real sense of community that makes you feel right at home, whether you're catching up with friends or watching the footie on their big screens. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and going the extra mile with things like drink samples, and it's fantastic that they welcome dogs, adding to that relaxed, inclusive feel. On the flip side, it does get busy at times, especially on weekends, so you might end up jostling for space, and while the drinks are spot on, the food side seems a bit of a mystery since not many have raved about it yet. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone after a traditional pub experience – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the minor niggles, and you'll likely leave with a smile.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's warm, welcoming, and feels like a proper local where you can relax and chat with mates.
  • Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive; they'll even offer you a sample of a drink to help you choose, which is a lovely touch.
  • It's super dog-friendly, so you can pop in with your furry friend without any hassle.
  • The pub boasts a great selection of drinks and shows loads of live sports on Sky and BT, making it perfect for watching the big games.
  • Facilities are top-notch, with the cleanest toilets I've heard of – always a bonus for a comfortable visit.
Cons
  • It can get a bit crowded on weekends, which might make it tricky to find a seat and enjoy a quiet pint.
  • Not much is said about the food options, as most folks haven't tried it yet, so you might want to check that out before relying on it for a meal.
  • The toilets being upstairs could be a slight inconvenience for anyone with mobility issues or if you're in a rush.

Cleanest toilets I've ever seen! Beautiful bar and friendly staff. If every pub was like this they would all still be open! Very dog friendly. Could not fault. Stunning.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the best pubs in Aberdeen, along with the Grill & kirkgate, a city severely lacking in truly GREAT traditional boozers,it falls behind Dundee in this respect, never mind Glasgow & Edinburgh, but anyway this is a wee gem & the bar manager/owner? seemed like a decent fellow.

Love this place! Often take my dog, I haven’t had food here yet. Toilets are upstairs, usually can get a seat. Can be busy at the weekend

Busy enough for a Sunday evening. Friendly customers. A couple of pets who were even friendlier 😂. Attentive bar staff. TV on as well as loud enough music. Was offered a sample of a drink I hadn't tasted before so to help make the right choice of refreshment. Will definitely go back
