About This Pub
Ah, Foundry Aberdeen – what a cracking little spot it is for a casual get-together or cheering on your team. From what I've gathered chatting about it with folks, it's got this warm, inviting vibe that's perfect if you're after a place to watch the footie or rugby without missing a beat, thanks to all those screens dotted around. The food's a real winner too; think solid pub classics at prices that won't break the bank, and they've thrown in some delightful cocktails and family-friendly options for good measure. It's managed to build up a solid reputation with an overall rating hovering around 4.1, and recent feedback shows people loving the atmosphere and quick service for the most part. But, let's keep it real, there have been a few grumbles about the odd staff member being a bit short or unfriendly, which could throw off your evening if it happens to you. Still, with events like live music and DJs on weekends, plus perks like student offers, it's easy to see why it's a go-to in Aberdeen. If you're planning a visit, I'd say go for it – especially if you're into sports – just maybe pop in during off-peak times to avoid any crowds and ensure you're in for a top-notch time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is buzzing, especially for sports fans – with 44 TVs and big screens, you won't miss a moment of the game, and the sound is spot on for those big matches.
-
Food and drinks are great value; it's proper pub grub done right, with a varied menu including tasty cocktails and options for families, plus it's affordable for a night out.
-
It's a welcoming spot with friendly staff most of the time, making it easy to relax with friends or even bring the kids along until 8pm, and they've got handy features like wheelchair access and live entertainment.
-
Loads of events and offers keep things lively, from DJs on weekends to student deals and sports like the Premier League or rugby – it's a real community hub in Aberdeen's city centre.
Cons
-
Service can be inconsistent, with one or two staff members coming across as rude, which might put a dampener on your visit if you're unlucky.
-
It can get pretty packed during major events, potentially leading to waits for food or drinks, so it's worth planning ahead if you're heading there for something big.

Fantastic place to celebrate Aberdeens Scottish Cup Win. Good atmosphere and reasonable prices
A great day out. The staff were amazing & the food was good value for the money. On the whole a terrific time.
It was a nice pub in a great location however let down by one female member of staff. We visited 01/03/25 at 12.30 and the lady was so rude for no reason. The rest of the staff seemed friendly and approachable but for what ever reason the lady seemed to hate me, other customers and her job. Come to aberdeen alot and so do 100s of my colleagues and non of them will come to this bar again because of her. Otherwise a great sport bar
Really good food for the price you pay. Drinks were brought to table very quickly. Plenty of TVs everywhere (even in the toilet) so you can always see your sport.
For pub grub they do really good food, and a varied menu. Vegetables available too! Great place to watch the big game, warm atmosphere, good service. Good choice of drinks. A happy discovery.
