About This Pub
Ah, No.1 DoveHouse Parade, what a lovely little find in Solihull! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to make everyone feel at ease – it's like popping round to a mate's for a chat over a pint. The food is a highlight too; folks rave about the breakfasts and the selection of beers, with plenty of options that offer great value without skimping on quality or quantity. It's also ace for dog lovers, with outdoor seating that's just perfect for a sunny afternoon. On the flip side, though, it does seem to struggle a bit when things get busy, as they might be a touch understaffed, leading to the odd wait that could frustrate you if you're in a hurry. And it's not trying to be upscale, so if you're after something more refined, it might not quite hit the mark. Overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back meal or drink, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with the flow and you'll have a cracking time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, always making you feel right at home with their friendly chats.
-
The food and drinks are spot on – think tasty breakfasts, a great range of beers, and good coffee that hits the spot.
-
It's super dog-friendly, which is brilliant if you're out with your furry friend, and they've got both indoor and outdoor seating for a relaxed vibe.
-
Value for money is excellent, with generous portions and no rush to finish your meal – perfect for a leisurely catch-up.
Cons
-
It can get a tad understaffed during peak times, leading to a few delays that might put a slight dampener on things.
-
It's not the poshest spot around, so if you're after something fancy, it might feel a bit more casual than expected.

Not a 'posh' cafe but the coffee was good and the food looked good as well.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
I think a true find.
Very dog friendly.
Love this place always come here it is amazing there is a range of beers, drinks and food and events with great staff and lovely people. Thank you kindly.
Perfectly nice. bar. Only had one drink and sat outside, but it was a lovely IPA served by a friendly person. Nothing more than that needed. Great stuff.
Busy breakfast spot. We had the number one breakfast and scrambled eggs on gf toast, which were great. Decent enough coffee. As with our previous visit two years ago they seem understaffed. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and very apologetic for any delays, but in fairness they were doing a champion job of handling so many customers. One extra staff member and this place would be flawless.
This was my first time eating here and it was very tasty. Highly recommended. I had the No1 breakfast £10.95 at 12pm. No time limit for the breakfast. Great value for the quality and quantity of food (see photo). I will definitely returning and trying out the dinner menu next time. They also poured a perfect pint of Moretti which was a great bonus
