About This Pub
Ah, No Name Bar & Games, what a gem in Colchester – it's one of those places that really gets the mix right for a proper night out, you know? From the moment you walk in, the staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure you're set for whatever game you've got in mind, whether that's having a go at axe throwing or sinking a few pints while playing darts. The variety of activities is spot on for keeping things entertaining, and the food deals, like those burgers and cocktails, are a proper treat without emptying your wallet. It's especially great for groups; I've heard from folks who've had brilliant stag dos or work dos there, with everything running smoothly and the atmosphere buzzing in all the right ways. But, fair play, it's not perfect – there was that one time someone mentioned having to wrap up an activity early due to staff shortages, which is a bit of a shame if you're all geared up for the full experience. Still, overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a fun, relaxed spot to let your hair down, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone looking to mix a bit of competition with their pints.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – they're friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure everyone has a top-notch time, like giving tips on axe throwing or sorting out events smoothly.
-
It's packed with fun games and activities, from axe throwing and darts to mini golf and beer pong, making it a brilliant spot for a laugh with your mates or spicing up a night out.
-
The food and drinks are spot on, with tasty options like burgers and hot dogs at fair prices, plus great deals on shots and cocktails that keep the good times rolling without costing a fortune.
-
The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for all sorts of gatherings, whether it's a stag do, a corporate event, or just a casual get-together – it's all about creating memorable experiences.
Cons
-
There can be occasional hiccups with activity supervision, like having to cut short something like axe throwing if staff are short-handed, which might leave you a bit disappointed.
-
It might not suit everyone if you're after a quieter vibe, as the focus is on games and groups, so it could feel a tad overwhelming on busier nights.

My partner had his stag do in there last night, there were 12 of them and they had so much fun. Staff, atmosphere and activities were amazing 10 out of 10. Would highly recommend this place.
Awesome spot for drinks and games! The vibe is fun and laid-back, with a great mix of classic and bar games. Drinks are solid, prices are fair, and the blonde girl at the bar is absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and really adds to the experience. Perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date!
I used this place to host my corporate event for KFC. they were super accomodating, staff were AMAZING all night. drinks are cheap with great deals on shots and 2 for x coctails. they look after you well.
We got the buffet too, food was fantastic, all came out super hot and fresh. kept us fuelled (and probably helped some of my guys stay standing from the drinks)
karaoke room is a great fun place to be with such a large group, they make competitions for the team and give custom medels too, this was so unnexpected but definately welcome
This was the 2nd year in a row we used this place to host our party and will very much be the go to every time.
I have to note the booking process was great too, they were super helpful on the phone and managing the deposit either in store or online. nice and easy
Staff were nice but my husband was told he had to quit the axe throwing even if he paid for the full experience. We sensed though that the staff had to leave and there was Noone to supervise the activity. It's a cool place to hang out though. We played pools and had a few drinks
Went with a couple of mates for a night out. Paid £25 for the all games pass. Honestly was great fun, we tried axe throwing, darts, mini golf & table tennis. The staff were really helpful & friendly especially Agne, nothing was to much trouble she even gave us some tips on axe throwing. Would defo be back & thoroughly recommend! 🙌🏻
