About This Pub
Ah, New Road Inn in Blackpool – it's one of those pubs that just warms your cockles with its down-to-earth charm. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels included, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or celebrating something special. The prices are just right for keeping things affordable, and there are some neat offers that make it feel like a real treat without breaking the bank. It's brilliant for local events or even just watching the footy with a bite to eat, and that little extra like free meals with your first pint is a lovely surprise that keeps things fun. On the flip side, it doesn't seem to have much in the way of its own food options, so you might find yourself nipping out for a proper meal, which isn't ideal if you're settled in. And while the online side of things could do with a spruce-up, it's still a solid spot for a pint and a laugh. Overall, if you're after a genuine, unpretentious pub experience in Blackpool, this one's worth a visit – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a cracking time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's got that classic local pub vibe, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint, especially during events like football matches where they go the extra mile with things like butties.
-
Prices are spot on for a budget-friendly night out, with some cracking offers that make it great value for money.
-
They've got a welcoming atmosphere for special occasions, like birthdays or parties, and it's easy to see why folks recommend it for a good time.
-
Plus, the odd freebie like meals with your first drink adds a nice touch that really enhances the experience.
Cons
-
It might not have its own full food menu, as some folks end up ordering from nearby places, which could be a bit of a faff if you're after a proper pub grub session.
-
The online presence feels a tad lacking, with issues on their website, so it's not the easiest to get all the latest info before heading over.
-
While it's generally lovely, it could feel a bit ordinary on quieter days, without anything standout to wow you every time.
