Nauticus in Leith

Among Best Speakeasy bars in Edinburgh. We stopped there after Britannia. We made a right choice. Cocktails were skillfully crafted and locally sourced. Great atmosphere with Nautical elements in the library. Everything you expect from a speakeasy! Bartenders are friendly and quick. Really enjoyable experience. Wish it was closer to Old town. It is a hike due to Leith location. But well worth it! Thank you. 🙏

Matthew and Scott were our servers that night, and they were everything you hope for when you walk into a place: welcoming, professional, and tuned in without ever hovering. They know their drinks, they know their guests, and they move with the kind of quiet confidence that makes you feel like you're exactly where you should be. The ambience was spot-on — lively but never loud, full of life without spilling into chaos. You could have a real conversation. You could relax. And when you see how clean the lavatories are, you know management cares. Because a clean bathroom means they respect every part of your experience, even the ones no one talks about. What really stood out was the respect for their neighbours. No blasting music into the street, no shouting crowds outside. Really nice pub/bar, service was great. Drinks were lovely and very reasonable. The atmosphere is great and the interior lovely to be in.

The staff are so friendly and the drinks are really good. Totally recommend this place!
