I don’t often write reviews however we had a fantastic experience at The Monkseaton Arms this bank holiday. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the bar staff friendly. We were served by the lovely young lady Lyla and she explained options regarding dietary needs (yes we’re that family) lots of questions/requests yet she happily assisted us. Our food arrived promptly and the vegan pizza was amazing. Reasonably priced drinks and will certainly be coming back.

Popped into Monkseaton Arms recently and had a really decent time. It's got that laidback, friendly vibe you'd hope for in a local pub good atmosphere without being too loud or over the top. Decent selection of drinks, and the prices were fair too. What really stood out though was the service—Lyla behind the bar was brilliant. Super friendly, quick, and just generally on it. It makes a big difference when the staff are welcoming and know what they're doing. Definitely added to the experience. All in all, a solid spot for a drink. Would happily go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Whitley's Bay undiscovered treasure If you're looking for a friendly, inviting pub with delicious food, and a wonderful ambiance, then look no farther than Monkseaton Arms. With good reason, this bar on Monkseaton Front street has grown to be a local favourite and I am not surprised why, the staff is wonderful and I'd like to give a big shoutout to Lyla and Patrick, some of the most warm and welcoming bartenders I have ever had the experience to deal with, they made my visit to the pub an even better experience than I imagined going in for the first time, if I could I would give this pub a 6/5 just for that alone!

Lunchtime and it's very busy here also live entertainment to enjoy. Excellent bacon Cheeseburger and fries with an awesome pint. Cannot fault the speed of service and the atmosphere

Excellent pub, friendly staff, good service and massive selection of drinks. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon with some old friends. I have actually been a customer in the pub since 1975, 50 years. It has always been a great pub.
