About This Pub
Ah, Mither Tap, tucked away on John Street in Aberdeen – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, welcoming vibe where the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, like letting you use the facilities without any bother. It's spot on for sinking a pint, having a game of pool, or just nattering away with friends over good beer and laughs. I love how it's easy to drop in anytime, no need to plan ahead, which makes it perfect for those impromptu get-togethers. On the flip side, it seems like things have gone a bit quiet recently with no new reviews in the last few months, so it might not have that electric atmosphere everyone craves sometimes. Plus, the website's pretty basic, which doesn't help if you're looking for more details, and a few people have noted missing out on the music that used to liven things up. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a straightforward, no-frills spot in Aberdeen, but it could do with a bit more spark to keep the energy going. If you're heading that way, I'd say give it a go for the friendly crowd and decent drinks, but keep your expectations realistic for a classic pub experience.

Good bunch of locals, good banter to be had. The beer is usually in pretty good nick too. A long standing pre-football pint meeting point for us, and that won't change
Was waiting to pick up my daughter from her class around the corner. Guy behind the bar very friendly allowed me to use the toilet. Will go back for a proper drink with friends soon. Top marks for the bar man
