First time here on Friday night whilst 'up north' visiting some friends. The 'El Mariachi' Pizza was outstanding, and good value. The bar staff were spot on, attentive, and really pleasant. The Brixton Lager was a lovely drop.

The Minster Inn is a cosy, traditional three roomed pub next to the city walls. There is a nice secluded outside seating area in the courtyard. There is a good selection of draught drinks, including five hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition on our visit. The pub specialises in pizzas, almost everyone in the pub was eating pizza as they are half price before 4:00 p.m. we had a couple of pizzas, and they were gorgeous. The staff are very welcoming, and the pub is dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Excellent pizzas, arrived slightly early but the wonderful girl behind the bar was very accommodating. We were sat in the small restaurant side but there was a group of 4 very loud girls. We asked if we could move and they sat us near the bar on the other side which was really nice. The Pizzas were just like the ones we had eaten in Italy. We had the Italian Hog and the Italian they were both amazing.

Caroline’s desserts are to die for, her gluten free pizzas are the star of the show.
Unlike most places the GF options are tasty and well worth the price.
Staff are fantastic, Adam, John, etc work so hard to create the best experience.

The service is excellent, we were often asked if we needed anything. We had Naco's and french fries with three cheeses. The portions were very large and sufficient. The beers were delicious. The decoration is warm, the pub is clean, the customer base is very good.
I was very pleased. If I go to York again, I will definitely visit again.
