My wife and I stayed at The Exhibition in May 2025 for four nights. We were comfortable in our room, and the staff in the pub and hotel were delightful. Breakfast was good too. it's location , just outside Bootham Bar was easy to find from the railway station and great for visiting central York. I'd repeat.
Fabulous little spot. Some reviews critique the heat in the room, which we would agree with, first night was very hot to sleep but once we opened the window it was fine after that. Everything you needed in the room and lovely shower. Fantastic breakfast across a wide range of options. Great range of gins and drinks in the cosy bar with helpful friendly staff throughout. A stone's throw from the very centre of York with free parking, what more could you ask? We loved it.
Excellent central location. Clean, well equipped room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast choices including vegan - very generous portions. Good selection of food and drinks at the bar. Lovely beer garden. All staff from cleaners, waiting and bar were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The Exhibition Hotel is a traditional pub with a good range of draught drinks, including four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, the ones that I sampled were in excellent condition. The pub has a nice Victorian feel to it. There is a conservatory and large beer garden. There is no pool table or dart board. The pub specialises in food, and there is an excellent menu. The staff are very welcoming and the pub is dog friendly. A visit is definitely recommended.
Just spent a three night break here, cannot fault the place rooms are immaculate cleaned every day fresh towels every day , the breakfast is delicious plenty choice staff lovely and polite car parking which is a massive bonus can highly recommend this pub the location is spot on five minutes walk to the centre will definitely be returning. Thankyou all so much for our stay see you all soon 😊
