About This Pub

You know, when I think about Milners Arms in Bradford, it really brings a smile – it's one of those unpretentious pubs that feels like a proper local hideaway. From the reviews, the landlady and landlord sound like absolute stars, creating a friendly atmosphere that's perfect for a Friday night catch-up or just nipping in for a quick pint. The drinks are a highlight, with great ales at prices that won't break the bank, and there's even a games room with a pool table to keep things lively. It's got that old-fashioned charm that makes you want to settle in for a chat. On the downside, though, I've noticed it's not got much of an online footprint, which might make planning a visit a bit of a faff, and there's some confusion about whether it's fully open these days. Still, with a solid 4.4 rating from folks who've been there, I'd say it's worth checking out if you're in the area – just keep your expectations realistic for a no-frills spot.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got that fabulous community vibe, with a welcoming landlady and landlord who make you feel right at home.
  • Drinks are a steal – often cheaper than other spots nearby, with a wonderful selection of ales and quality pints like Guinness.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, especially on Friday evenings, and there's a cosy games room with a pool table for a bit of fun.
  • They occasionally offer some grub, like free food spreads, which adds a nice touch to the experience.
Cons
  • The pub's online presence is a bit lacking, with no website and an unclaimed Google profile, making it tricky to get the latest updates.
  • There might be some uncertainty about its current status, as it's listed as closed, which could mean it's not always reliable for a visit.
  • Food options seem sporadic and not a main focus, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to look elsewhere.
  • With only a handful of recent reviews, it's hard to gauge if things have stayed consistently great over time.
