Emma was extremely friendly and gave great service. Food was lovely and cooked to perfection. Great recommendations on cocktails from Emma as well.

Absolutely loved our experience here this evening. It was the first time we’ve been out since last year and we were celebrating my wife’s belated birthday so went all out on the sharing experience. The “steaks and dates” menu was a really good mix of options and good value too. We had the côte de boeuf and the steak was juicy and tender with loads of flavour. Now I’m not a desert person but would definitely recommend the Torte, really nicely balanced set of flavours, not too sweet, and great portion size. We were really looked after here tonight, thanks to Mel she waited the right amount of time to come to the table and we’re never rushed nor waiting excessively. She was very friendly and very helpful and we enjoyed her company. St the end she brought out a special desert for my wife for her belated birthday. What a lovely surprise, thanks M&C Stevenage we’ll be returning soon.

Had a lovely meal here for my birthday. Mel was wonderful. She made sure we had everything we needed and accommodated adjustments to some of our dishes. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the Strawberry Sling-no cocktail and the Carter's signature chocolate bar.

We came to M&C Stevenage for Mother’s Day, booked for 5.30pm. We were told our table wasn’t quite ready so we sat near the bar but after about 15 minutes I went to ask if our table was ready and was told it would be very soon. As I returned to my seat, I think it may have been the manager who came over to apologise to us for the delay and to our surprise she offered us all free drinks as we had waited for a little while. That was a very welcome surprise and extremely good customer service. We were then shown to our table and were served by Mel, who was so welcoming and pleasant. We all felt really looked after by her. The food was amazing - I had the harissa and garlic king prawns for a starter and they were absolutely delicious. We did wait a little while between starters and mains but the atmosphere was great and we were relaxed with our drinks! We had the sharing board and every morsel was mouthwatering - the chicken, lamb and steak cooked to perfection with very tasty sides and gravy in abundance! This was my first time at the Stevenage restaurant and I will definitely be coming again! I rang the bell to show our appreciation to the chefs! As we left to go to our car, Mel came out looking for me in the car park as I’d dropped some things out of my handbag and she handed them to me - what a lovely lady - thank you for everything, Mel!

The food was yummy but there was a long wait between the lettuce wedge arriving and the steaks (more than 12 minutes). I think the steaks were forgotten about and also our next drinks order. A different waiter brought our steaks out. When the main meal did arrive the butter didn’t even melt on the steaks! The food did taste very nice it just wasn’t very warm.
