About This Pub
Ah, The Poachers – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, buzzing atmosphere that's perfect for sinking into a comfy spot with a pint in hand. The beers are spot on, especially that Guinness everyone's raving about, and it's brilliant for watching the footie with multiple screens around. If you're after a family-friendly spot or fancy a game of pool or darts, it's got you covered. Plus, if you're passing through Stevenage, the rooms sound like a treat – clean, spacious, and with welcoming hosts to boot. On the flip side, it's not exactly in the heart of things, so you might find yourself a bit of a walk from the main buzz, and it's a shame they don't serve any food, meaning you'll have to sort that out separately. Parking fees could nip at your wallet too, and without a website, it's not the easiest to plan ahead. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, but go in with realistic expectations and you'll have a cracking time.

It's a beautiful walking park in Eastham and I think it's the longest walk park in Eastham. Also It's free entry. But the parking is not free.
Had a lovely stay here, clean room and comfortable bed. Nice pub with a good selection of beers.
Nice spacious room, very friendly host.
A bit of a distance from the town centre but nothing a brisk walk wouldn't sort out. Nice to have a drink before bed time too!
Went for a quick drink on a Saturday lunchtime. I really enjoyed the buzz. Good service, good beer and a very atmospheric clientele. I would happily make this my local. In fact I probably will!
Lovely Irish run pub. Family friendly. Always get to watch the football with multiple screens. Doesn't serve food, just a traditional local with pool table and darts and I must add the best Guinness I've had in ages.
