About This Pub
So, if you're looking for a proper Irish pub experience in Seven Kings, Mccaffertys is one that really stands out – it's got that cosy, homely feel where the staff make you feel right at home from the get-go. I love how they've nailed the traditional vibe with live music and events that bring a bit of Irish magic to the evening, and the food is genuinely delicious, whether it's a hearty roast or a classic dish like bacon and cabbage. It's clear they've built a strong community spirit here, perfect for catching up with mates over a well-poured pint. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – the music can crank up late into the night, which might disrupt your rest if you're in one of the rooms, and there are stories of the team being a bit unresponsive when issues crop up, like not handling complaints as swiftly as you'd hope. All in all, it's a great spot for a fun night out if you're up for the buzz, but maybe think twice if you're after peace and quiet.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and really go the extra mile – think friendly chats and top-notch service, like that server Mick who's a real standout.
-
The food and drinks are spot on, with hearty Irish dishes and pints poured to perfection, making every meal feel like a treat.
-
It's got that warm, traditional Irish pub vibe with live music and events that get everyone tapping their feet and joining in the fun.
-
Being part of the local community, it offers a genuine welcome and even free function room hire for get-togethers, which is brilliant for a casual night out.
Cons
-
The music can get pretty loud, especially if you're in the guesthouse, making it tough to get a good night's sleep when things carry on late.
-
There have been issues with management not responding quickly to problems, like sorting out refunds or queries, which can leave you feeling a bit let down.
-
It might feel a tad overwhelming if you're after a quiet spot, as the lively atmosphere isn't always suited to those wanting a more relaxed visit.

friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Best part? We discovered HASHTAG CAFE❤️ right next door and ended up having an amazing breakfast there the next morning!”
I just wanted to commend your roast dinner server MICK on a Sunday afternoon.. not only is he polite, kind and helpful... but he really cares about the customers...
His customer service is 10 out of 10.. such a lovely guy... and he works sooo hard...
The food was also amazing... can see it's made with love ...
Great food menu. I selected the delicious bacon and cabbage with creamy mashed potatoes and parsley sauce. Three thick slices of ham. Will be back for more. Lovely Guinness poured perfectly by a lovely lady.
Shocking place, the music was so loud I couldn’t sleep, 2am it stopped and I had to be up at 5:30. Was told it will be the same the follow night so went else where….. they wouldn’t give me my money back, wouldn’t answer my messages or booking.coms emails and never answer the phone, shocking customer service. They must have rats outside as I could here running about at bout 5am across the room outside the window and was birds.
Only positive thing was room was clean and tidy
Guest House review: Rooms are advertised as soundproofed on booking.com but they are not at all. My video demonstrates the booming music that you can hear in the room, video doesn’t do the situation justice as in reality you hear and feel the thumping and the music and the people screaming too. You will not get any sleep if staying here on the weekend, Book elsewhere Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Also the windows are shit and you get maximum road and tube line noise in the room too. Bring ear plugs, and a sleeping mask, it’s your only hope of getting a mediocre nights sleep. Also, Electric showers full of limescale, water flow is honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced (see video)
