About This Pub
You know, chatting about pubs like McBrides on the Square always brings a smile; it's that sort of place in the heart of Comber where you can settle in for a proper good time. The vibe is just lovely – think friendly faces, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu packed with quality local grub and drinks that hit the spot. It's ace for watching live sport or sorting out a function, and they've made it so accessible, which is a real plus for getting everyone together without a fuss. Prices are fair too, giving it that homely, family-run feel that'll have you recommending it to mates. On the downside, I've heard a couple of stories where the food didn't quite live up to expectations, like portions being on the small side or things coming out overcooked, which is a shame when the rest is so solid. Still, with most folks raving about it, I'd say it's worth popping by for a pint and a bite – just keep an eye out for those occasional slip-ups to manage your expectations.

Really disappointed with the food. Pork over cooked, scampi was very small and not a lot of it. Staff were very good but couldn't make up for very average grub. Sorry.
Cosy place for food and drinks in the Comber area, they had sports on the TV and there's an upstairs for events
A great family run pub/restaurant in Comber Square.
Good menu with regular specials for variety. Bar area has good space and plenty of seating for different sized groups.
Level access from outdoors to bar area, couple of steps up to lounge and toilets.
We stopped by while we waited for food elsewhere. The rugby and football was on and the atmosphere was lovely, everyone we seen were having a great time. Very wholesome and friendly mood. Lovely pints of Guinness too.
A great spot!
Guinness & Steak Pie with champ. What's not to like? Extremely friendly and welcoming bar lady. Spotlessly clean. Cracking prices.
