About This Pub
You know, I had a great time at the Lord Hill the other day, and I reckon it's one of those pubs that really knows how to pull out the stops. The food is just brilliant – those pizzas and burgers are packed with flavour and come at a fair price, leaving you properly satisfied. Then there's the atmosphere; it's got this infectious energy with fantastic music and events that had me and my mates up on our feet dancing away. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. Plus, the beer garden is a real gem for a relaxed afternoon. But, to be honest, it's not all perfect – the drinks do tend to be a bit steep, so you might want to budget accordingly if you're in for a few. And with it being closed mid-week, it can be tricky to pop in spontaneously. All things considered, though, it's a solid spot for a good night out, and I'd say it's well worth checking out if you're in the area and up for some proper fun.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think excellent pizzas and burgers that really hit the spot and leave you feeling chuffed.
-
It's got a brilliant atmosphere with great music and entertainment that gets everyone up and dancing, making for a lively night out.
-
The staff are so welcoming and friendly, always making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
The decor is modern and inviting, with a spacious interior and a fantastic beer garden that's perfect for soaking up the sun on a nice day.
Cons
-
Drinks like lager can be a bit pricey, which might put a dent in your wallet if you're planning a proper session.
-
It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so you'll have to plan your visits around that if you're after a mid-week tipple.
-
From what I've heard, post-Covid changes mean it's not as buzzing as it used to be sometimes, with folks adapting to new norms.

Went to their Bank Holiday alldayer yesterday.
Great music. Excellent Pizzas. Me and the wife are old duffers but took my 19 year old son and nephew and we all ended up dancing. First time there, but will be back.
Went for something to eat and a few drinks,I haven't been in this pub for several years and was pleasantly surprised with how much its changed for the better. The inside has had a complete makeover the result being warm, modern and inviting ,lovely and spacious and pleasing on the eye.The beer garden is fantastic with lots of seating areas and has a great feeling about it .We had intended to have a meal but hadn't booked a table, unfortunately they were fully booked which was a great shame as the roast did look delicious! Will definitely be coming back and would recommend.
What an awesome burger, totally filling and great tasting. One is called the Lord Hill and the other is the chicken burger. Lager a bit pricey but the food is good.
Food is very good! Fair price, good selection, clean and well presented.
The pub has a lovely feel to it, decor is clean and homely with a modern twist of framed music legends dotted around, loved it.
