About This Pub
You know, I have to say, the Kingston Arms really captures that timeless charm of a proper English pub – it's got this brilliant selection of local brews and craft beers that had me spoilt for choice, and the staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. The atmosphere is spot on too, with cosy fireplaces and a bit of brewery memorabilia that gives it that authentic feel, plus there's a nice beer garden for when the weather's playing ball. It's a great spot if you're popping in after a wander around Cambridge, especially since it's not far from the station. On the flip side, it is a bit hidden away, so you might miss it if you're not looking closely, and the prices are on the moderate side, which could add up if you're in for a long session. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a genuine pub experience without the fuss – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go for a pint and perhaps a tasty pork pie, but keep in mind it might not suit if you're after something more flashy or wallet-friendly.
Pros and Cons
Pros

-
Genuinely welcoming atmosphere in a classic English pub setting, complete with memorabilia, fireplaces, and a cosy beer garden that makes you feel right at home.
-
Friendly and helpful staff who provide excellent service, always ready with a smile and a recommendation.
-
Great little food options like pork pies and scotch eggs that hit the spot alongside your pint.
-
Conveniently located just a short walk from the railway station, making it an easy stop for visitors to Cambridge.
Cons
-
It's tucked away on a back street, so it might not be the easiest to find if you're not familiar with the area.
-
With moderate prices, it could feel a tad pricey for those watching their wallet, especially if you're after something more budget-friendly.
-
As a traditional pub, it sticks to its roots and might not offer the latest modern amenities or a wide variety of food choices for those seeking something more contemporary.
