About This Pub

Ah, the Kings Head – what a lovely spot it is, tucked away in Redcliffe. I have to say, it's one of those places that just captures the essence of a traditional British pub while keeping things fresh with its wide array of craft beers and historical charm. You can really feel the history in the air, especially with features like the tramcar saloon, and it's clear the folks behind it, including Good Chemistry brewery, have put in the effort to preserve that. The beer selection is spot on, with plenty of variety from top breweries, and those little extras like cheese rolls make it even more inviting for a relaxed afternoon or evening. On the flip side, it's a card-only setup, which might not suit everyone, and without a website, you might end up winging it on the opening times. Still, with such high praise from recent visitors and that solid 4.4 rating overall, it's well worth popping in if you're nearby – you'd be hard-pressed not to enjoy yourself!

Cons

  • There's no website or phone number listed, so it might be tricky to check opening times or get in touch if you have questions before heading over.

Great old school boozer with professional and well-trained staff. Great to see my friends Burton Bridge & Kernel being sold.

A fantastic piece of Bristol history, that has been preserved by the Good Chemistry brewery. Great interior space with tons of character (including the famed 'tramcar saloon') and a wide selection of drinks make this a must-visit if you are nearby. The array of cheese rolls and pickled eggs also looked rather delicious, but as I didn't try them, I cannot comment on their actual quality.

Very good beer pub. Great selection of beers, not just 10 taps of the same but proper variety and from some top breweries. Lovely place, recommended 👍
