About This Pub

Ah, the Kings Arms – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a laid-back evening or a lively weekend. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks absolutely rave about the warm welcomes and attentive staff, especially Gary, who's turned this place into a real community hub. The food's a standout too; think hearty roasts from award-winning butchers or a simple pizza paired with a Wadworth ale – it's all done just right without breaking the bank. And if you're into live sports, it's brilliant for that, with screens showing the big games and plenty of space to settle in, whether inside with the comfy seats or out in the courtyard on a sunny day. It's even dog-friendly, which is a nice touch for those who like to bring their four-legged mates along. On the flip side, though, the hours can be a tad restrictive, like not opening until 5pm on Mondays, so it's not ideal if you're an early riser looking for a quick drink. Plus, it does get packed during match days, and food service ends a bit early on Sundays, which might leave you wanting more if you're out late. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good time with friends, and I'd say it's worth popping in for the atmosphere alone – just keep those timings in mind to avoid any disappointments.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, attentive, and the landlord Gary really makes you feel right at home, like you're chatting with an old mate.
  • Fantastic food and drinks on offer; think top-notch roasts, pizzas, and a cracking selection of real ales and Guinness that's always spot on.
  • It's a ace spot for watching live sports with Sky and TNT, plus they've got comfy seating inside and a lovely courtyard outside for when the weather's nice.
  • Dog-friendly vibe means you can bring your furry friend along, and the interactive darts add a fun twist to a night out with mates.
  • Easy to get to near Putney Bridge, with a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for catching up over a pint or enjoying a Sunday roast.
Cons
  • Opening hours can be a bit limited on Mondays, starting at 5pm, so if you're after an early pint, you might have to plan around that.
  • It could get quite busy during big matches or events, which might make it tricky to snag a good table without booking ahead.
  • Food service wraps up earlier on Sundays at 5pm, so if you're hoping for a late lunch, you might miss out and have to stick to drinks only.

Went here with the Mrs to watch Lfc vs Afc. Got a nice table spot for the screen. Food & drinks were good. Staff were friendly & attentive. Will be back at the start if next season to watch Lfc games.

The Guinness is spot on, the food’s excellent, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. But what really makes the Kings Arms stand out is the landlord, Gary — probably the most welcoming in Fulham. He genuinely makes you feel right at home. A proper local pub with great vibes.

🚇 Putney Bridge 🍺 £6.15 Amstel The @kingsarmsfulham is located close to the north end of Putney Bridge in Fulham, West London. The nearest Tube is Putney Bridge. This landmark Fulham pub was built in 1888. On the exterior of the pub to the right, is a stunning tiled arch and a huge neon Charrington’s sign. This pub is operated by Wiltshire brewer Wadworth's, this is their first pub in the capital. This is a large one bar pub that is stylish and tastefully furnished. The servery is situated on the left hand side and has some contemporary pendants above. Just inside the entrance are two electronic dartboards, so you don’t need to worry about your maths. The bar area is divided up into a variety of sections with their own distinctive look and feel. On the right hand side of the bar is a beautifully decorated and well-furnished dining area with exposed brick walls and comfy booths. At the front of the pub is a courtyard beer garden with a huge Tv screen. The beer selection is impressive and consisted of familiar favourites, two in house beers, a Helles and a Session IPA plus two cask ales. I kept it simple and ordered an Amstel, my pint hit the spot, price point a smidge above average. The food menu offers a range of Burgers, Pizzas and British classics, Fish & Chips costs £17.50. I arrived just after 12pm on a cold and sunny lunchtime in March. I was first in the door, so I could have a good look around before the masses descended to watch the Six Nations rugby. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed with an 80’s soundtrack playing in the background. The service was welcoming and friendly, the team were gearing up for a busy day’s trade as it was the last day of the Six Nations. The exterior and scale of this pub are simply marvellous, the Victorian splendour is there for all to see. The interior, although lacking in victoriana had a welcoming, comfortable and contemporary feel. The beer selection will please the masses and wasn’t overly expensive. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here, this grand Fulham pub was a delight to spend time in. 📅 15th March 2025 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻

Great pub very friendly staff. Was out of Guinness due to the shortage so tried a Folly Road Stout instead which was a great replacement!

We've been coming to the Kings Arms for the past couple of years, great staff lovely atmosphere and brilliant food! The addition of the Dartisan interactive darts has made a good night out even better. You always get a friendly welcome from Garry who has elevated the pub since taking over.
