About This Pub
Ah, the King Charles Tavern – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' chats, it's got this genuine, homely charm that makes you want to settle in for the evening. The staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's looked after, which really elevates the whole experience. Pair that with a roaring open fire on those nippy days and a solid selection of well-kept ales, and you've got yourself a winner for unwinding after a long week. It's particularly brilliant if you're up for a bit of fun on racedays, where the atmosphere buzzes with excitement. On the flip side, the operating hours do look a touch confusing from the info out there, so you might want to double-check before planning your visit to avoid any disappointment. And without a website, it's not the easiest to get the lowdown online, which could be a minor hassle in this digital age. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a pint and a laugh – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the niggles.

Recent Reviews
I am a regular customer of this bar and I have always had a great night. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, cozy open fire In the winter and wide range of drinks and beverages. Many of times I have wanted to right a review as they deserve the acknowledgement but just never get around to it. However, tonight I have to do it. It was my daughters 18th birthday and I spoke to the team about the possibility of using a space for a small gathering of a few people. My daughter has anxiety and don't enjoy crowds and fuss. They were absolutely fantastic in understanding her needs and made the night absolutely perfect for her and went above and beyond to make her night special. Top team and location. Highly highly recommend
