About This Pub
Ah, Juniper Farm, what a gem for those times you're after a no-fuss pub experience with a proper carvery that doesn't break the bank. From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, it's got this warm, welcoming feel right from the get-go – you walk in and the staff are all smiles, making sure you're sorted, whether it's nabbing a table or handling any dietary needs like allergies. The food's a real highlight; that carvery menu with its generous portions of tasty roasts and sides has people raving, and it's spot on for families with play areas to keep the little ones entertained. It's conveniently placed just off the M6, so it's brilliant if you're on the road and need a breather with some hearty fare. On the flip side, though, it's not perfect – some have mentioned that while most dishes are a hit, there might be the odd one that doesn't quite land, and it can get a bit crowded, leading to waits that aren't ideal. Overall, it's a solid pick for a casual get-together or a family outing, where the good vibes and value shine through, but it's worth keeping expectations realistic for a straightforward pub day out.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The carvery is absolutely spot on – think juicy meats, crispy roast potatoes, and heaps of veggies that leave you feeling properly satisfied.
-
Staff are so welcoming and attentive; they really go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a great time, whether it's helping with allergies or just a friendly chat.
-
It's brilliantly family-friendly with indoor and outdoor play areas, plus things like disabled facilities and a big car park, making it easy for all sorts to pop in.
-
Portions are generous and the food's tasty overall, with options like a buffet breakfast or carvery that give brilliant value for money.
-
Handy location right off the M6 means it's perfect for a quick stop on a journey, and they've got a relaxed vibe that's just right for unwinding.
Cons
-
Not every meal might suit everyone's tastes – one visit had a mixed bag where most enjoyed it, but one person in the group wasn't as keen.
-
It can feel a bit standard at times, without anything truly standout beyond the carvery, so if you're after something fancy, it might not quite hit the mark.
-
With it being popular, things can get busy, especially around mealtimes, which might mean a wait for a table or service that's a tad slower than ideal.

Recent Reviews
We had the small sized carvery and the portions were the same as a ‘normal’ portion elsewhere. The chef gave us a piece of each of the 3 meats and then we could choose as much of the veg as we wanted. The food was tasty and we left clean plates.
The staff were all v friendly and helpful. Will return
Start off with the good:
If you have small children, the play area is quite exciting.
The portion sizes are large, and 4 out of 5 really enjoyed their meal. Our table strongly recommends the chip shop platter.
The staff interactions were all professional and polite.
It's location off the M6 is very convenient.
What could be improved:
When I sat down, there was a used fork in my seat.
When I tried to place an order, it took nearly 20 minutes. I counted 5 staff on the floor, and only one was working the till.
1 of us ordered a steak and salad. Neither was very palatable.
It is certainly worth a try and would strongly recommend it if you have smaller children.
One of the best carverys iv had to be honest.
First impressions of the place were good nice and clean outside, huge car park with parent and child bays which is always a bonus.
Upon entering we were greeted and seated immediately, staff very friendly and made sure we were happy.
Seating was good, and the play area kept the kids busy.
The food arrived very quickly and portion sizes of the kids meals were good. The carvery itself was nice nothing tasted like it had been there all day and tasted fresh, meat was a bit chewy but no complaints really.
Overall I'll be visiting again. Good job team.
We always stop here on the way from Wales to Scotland. Every visit has been a pleasant experience. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly, they make sure your visit is a pleasure from beginning to end. Food is always fresh, tasty and hot. Lots to choose from on the menu and buffet no matter what time of day. Tables are cleared and cleaned very quickly. Juniper Farm is a little gem just off the M6 so great for travellers and locals alike. They honour blue light cards which is a bonus.
Allergen friendly, great carvery!
Spoke to Sarah the manager on entry who gave me the allergen menu, who also spoke to the kitchen and had fresh veg made to cater for my lactose intolerance, and served separately at the carvery.
Blake was very attentive and polite.
Will definitely return here.
