About This Pub
Ah, the Jolly Milliner – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you once you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a standout; folks rave about the chicken wings and those generous Sunday roasts that hit the spot without costing a fortune. Pair that with the friendly faces behind the bar who go out of their way to make sure you're looked after, and you've got a spot that's perfect for kicking back with friends over a pint or catching the big game on their decent screens. It's got that community heart, with extras like a beer garden and being dog-friendly, which adds to the charm for a casual day out in Luton. But let's be straight, it's not all roses – there have been times when service has let things down, like when the kitchen's understaffed and meals take ages, or the place feels a tad worn around the edges and could do with a spruce-up. Still, with an overall solid rating, it's worth a visit if you're in the area; just keep your expectations balanced, and you'll likely have a great time swapping stories over a drink.

Cons
-
Service can sometimes fall short, like when there are staff shortages leading to delays in food, which might put a dampener on your visit.
-
The pub could use a bit of TLC; it's showing its age in places, so it might not feel as fresh and inviting as it could be.

Nice pub with good screens for football. Would recommend the chicken wings. Kourtney and the team do a great job behind the bar.
Very good Sunday roast yesterday. It was well cooked and prepared with large portions. Well worth the £9.00!
We were a party of 8, two of whom had travelled from Northamptonshire. Unfortunately the service we received today was poor. The chef had not turned up so they were trying to prepare food with someone who was covering in the kitchen.
We ordered our food at 12 o'clock and only two meals arrived promptly. These two had finished theirs before the rest of us received ours at 1.20.
We were told that we had to vacate the table at 2.30 for the next sitting which ordinarily would have been fine. We would have liked desert but could not chance being finished by 2.30 with the slow pace of service. We settled for coffee which took another half an hour to arrive. I had to remind them that we were still waiting for my grandsons ice cream. At 2.15 we had just finished our coffee when we were being hurried from our table to make way for the 2.30 sitting.
The whole experience was unpleasant and disappointing. The staff were doing their best and kept telling us so however, it was not our fault that they were short staffed and quite frankly disorganised.
Food was excellent n cost was very reasonable. Waiting staff were great. My only criticism was poor pub needed some tlc n a lick of paint!
We had an old Kilburn boys reunion last Thursday in the pub. It was the first time that I had been to the pub and was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and great service. The beer was excellent and we stayed a lot longer than we planned. We were well looked after by Kourtney, Stacey and Anita.
