About This Pub
Ah, Jacksons Arms, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Hartlepool. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. The pints are spot on, especially if you're a fan of classics like John Smith's, and that cosy lounge with the fire going is just the ticket for unwinding after a long day. It's clean and straightforward, which is always a plus when you're out for a drink. On the flip side, it's purely a drinkers' spot with no food available, so if you're peckish, you might need to plan a stop elsewhere first. And while the beer choices are solid, they stick to the big names, so it might not wow the craft ale enthusiasts. All in all, it's a solid choice for a no-fuss night out – I'd say give it a try if you're in the area and fancy a pint in a friendly atmosphere.

They pour a brilliant pint, especially the John Smith's – it's a real highlight for any beer lover.
-
It's got a cosy, traditional vibe with a warm fire in the lounge, perfect for relaxing on a chilly evening.
-
The facilities are clean and well-kept, which always makes for a more enjoyable visit.
-
It's open seven days a week with flexible hours, so it's easy to pop in for a casual drink whenever the mood strikes.
Cons
-
There's no food on offer, so if you're looking for a bite to eat, you'll have to head elsewhere.
-
The beer selection is mostly from big breweries like John Smith's and Stella, which might not excite those after something more crafty.
-
Some of the reviews are a bit dated, so it could be worth checking for the latest vibes before you go.

Great friendly pub with a brilliant pint
Had a 2 day break with friends lovely and piecefull some good amenities and walks ..
You can never remember leaving on a Sunday afternoon 🤣🤣
This is a great local bar that sells the best John Smiths. You can ask if they double up on there shots & they willingly give you what shots are included. Nuts & crisps at the bar. The staff are welcoming, even with my North Yorkshire accent. Ladies toilets are clean.
Nice cosy watering hole before the match at Hartlepool, about 6 minutes walk from the Victoria ground. No food available but it's a traditional drinkers pub. One lounge was lovely and warm with the fire in it. Choice of big brewery beers like John Smith's, Coors and Stella but it is well worth trying the local Cameron brewer's Trophy Special, an excellent bitter. Friendly bar staff and locals.
