About This Pub
Ah, Jack & Ada's – it's one of those hidden gems in Walsall that just warms your heart from the moment you step in. From the reviews, it's clear the food steals the show; imagine tucking into a massive sandwich bursting with juicy bacon, melted cheese, and mushrooms, or opting for fresh vegetarian dishes that are spot on for those with specific tastes – it's all about big flavours without any fuss. The staff really make it special too, being so welcoming and attentive, which adds to that cosy atmosphere with tunes playing in the background. On the downside, it does wrap up early in the afternoon, so it's more suited for a daytime catch-up rather than a proper night out, and as a cafe, it doesn't quite capture that classic pub buzz with pints and all. Still, for a relaxed, affordable bite with mates, it's a winner – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the high ratings speak for themselves!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant – massive portions like that huge bacon, cheese, and mushroom sarnie that one chap raved about, all packed with fresh, flavourful ingredients.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and go the extra mile, making sure everyone's dietary needs are met and creating a welcoming vibe, as mentioned in those glowing reviews.
-
The atmosphere is spot on, with great music like 60s tunes setting a fabulous mood for a relaxed breakfast or lunch.
-
It's easy on the wallet, being an inexpensive spot where you can enjoy a hearty meal without spending a fortune.
Cons
-
It tends to close early around 3:45 PM, so it's not the best for anyone wanting a leisurely evening out.
-
As a cafe rather than a traditional pub, it might lack the full range of drinks and lively late-night feel that some folks crave.

I went in to JACK & ADA'S for a quick bite.
I ordered a Bacon, Cheese and Mushroom sarnie and strong cup of tea. I have to say that it was the best sandwich I have ever had whilst eating out. It was huge! Lots of bacon, lots of yummy melted cheese and big juicy mushrooms. Everything was cooked to perfection.
The cafe was clean and didn't have that lingering greasy spoon smell that attaches itself to your clothes. The music, decor and vibe was chilled out.
The staff were friendly.
I will certainly be visiting again to sample more of their menu.
I’ve been coming to Jack Adda Café in Walsall for the past five years, and I’ve never regretted it. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. As a strict vegetarian due to religious beliefs, I’m very careful about what I eat—but Sam and Paul always go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right for me. They’re incredibly helpful and respectful. This place feels like home, and I’ll keep coming here for as long as I can. Highly recommended!
We stopped off here on our way back to Reading. What a great breakfast, and very friendly staff with great music playing. While we were there it was like 60s music. Fabulous atmosphere too 👌
Excellent friendly cafe. Food is amazing.
Nice little cafe in walsall. Tried here due to my wife going here before and she recommended it to me to try. The staff are so friendly and really pleasant. I had a tea with a sandwich(a best) and wife had a cappuccino and a strawberry cheesecake. Both were lovely I must say. Well done to all staff and I will definitely go here again when I'm in the town. Sorry about picture as it doesn't do it any favours but it was delicious.
