About This Pub
Ah, the Fox & Hounds – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub in Ewood, Blackburn. I have to say, what really stands out is the welcoming vibe; it's newly done up with a cracking outside area that's perfect for soaking up the sun with a cold one in hand. They're bang on with their events too – think lively karaoke on Saturdays, quizzes on Wednesdays, and even a pie and a pint deal on Mondays that sounds like a winner for a midweek treat. Being so close to Ewood Park means it's a go-to for match days, and folks have raved about the atmosphere before games or theatre visits, with the staff going the extra mile to make you feel at home. On the brighter side, they've got a good range of drinks and show the sports, so if you're into that, you're in for a treat. But, let's be straight, it's not all roses – I've heard a few stories about them turning people away if they're not supporting the home team, which can put a dampener on things and doesn't sit right for a casual night out. Plus, there might be the odd hiccup with what's on tap, as one chap mentioned waiting for his preferred bitter. All in all, it's a solid choice for a traditional pub crawl with mates, as long as you keep an eye on the ground rules and what's on offer – worth a visit if you're in the area, but maybe not your everyday haunt if you're after something a bit more inclusive.

-
Newly refurbished with a lovely outside area, ideal for enjoying a drink in the fresh air when the weather's on your side.
-
A solid selection of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks to cater to all tastes, plus they show Sky and BT Sports for the footie fans.
Cons
-
There have been instances where entry was restricted to home fans only, which can feel a bit off-putting if you're just popping in for a casual visit.
-
Some feedback suggests occasional issues with drink availability, like certain options not being in stock when promised.
-
It might come across as a standard local boozer without anything particularly standout, so it won't wow you if you're after something more unique.
-
Opening hours can vary, especially around match days, which might catch you out if you're not checking in advance.

Decent atmosphere and great for a couple of drinks before visiting the Empire Theatre. Went in after the gig and the ladies kept the bar open for us. Nice to enjoy a drink in a traditional pub. Will definitely visit again 👍
Couple of beers here, standard town boozer, ok for short walk before empire theatre 😀
Very good pub 🍻 to go before the game ⚽⚽🍻
Landlady said she would have cans of bitter for sale in the garden bar. Preston match, no cans !!! Please can we bitter drinkers get cans if no draught. Cans now available in garden bar..
exellent.
The first pub I have ever refused entry ! I was not wearing football colors but the door person advised home fans only after asking to see our tickets. There was nothing advertising this outside the pub which was also very very quiet . We were advised to go to another neighboring pub . What trouble do u expect a father and his young son to cause.
