About This Pub
Ah, the Innkeeper's Collection in Hornchurch – it's one of those places that really grows on you with its warm, traditional pub atmosphere. I have to say, the staff are an absolute delight; they're always cheerful and quick to lend a hand, which makes the whole experience feel personal and inviting. The rooms are mostly clean and comfy, with some nice old-school features that give it that authentic charm, and the food is a highlight – proper pub fare and a cracking breakfast that leaves you satisfied. Plus, the evenings buzz with quizzes and live music, making it a fun spot for a casual get-together or a relaxed night in. On the flip side, though, a couple of rooms we've heard about have that musty smell from what might be damp or old pipes, and the noise from downstairs can carry over, so it's not ideal if you're after total quiet. Overall, it's a solid choice for a budget-friendly stay near the trains, especially if you appreciate a bit of character over sleek modernity – just keep those little niggles in mind for a balanced visit!

All great. The room was a little dated but was clean and quiet. On the doorstep of trains.
staff and breakfast were great. Really bad smell in room from either bathroom drains or damp. Complained to manager who said sorry but no more.
Friendly staff, clean room and room was a generous size with a very comfortable bed.
Very good choice for breakfast, although I decided to have the full English breakfast on both mornings (!) and it filled me up for the day.
Only very minor negative was some noise issues, but only to be expected in a popular public house and an old building.
I would happily stay here again.
The room is on the first floor above a busy pub. Was worried about noise but got to sleep quickly. The building dates back to the 1930’s with many period features, I liked the fact it wasn’t spoiled although it looked tired on our approach to the room. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and the linen good quality. We The shower room the best we had experienced throughout our weeks tour. There was no one around when we left at 8.30. We thought the breakfast menu looked better than previous hotels but we decided to eat later as we had a long day ahead.
Everything was really great! The room was nice with a comfortable bed and big and modern bathroom. Excellent cleaning daily. Staff was always happy to help and made a really good impression. The pub downstairs where also very friendly at had a cozy atmosphere and fun variety of evening themes. Good prices for food and drinks and again friendly service at the bar.
It was also nice to see a how diverse the staff was. Usually you see only one kind of people in such staff. Here it felt like everyone was welcome. That also reflected on the guests, since you could see that they too had a good span in variety. Opening hours, times for check out and everything was just as I like it. Thank you!
