About This Pub

Ah, Husk Beer Emporium & Bar – what a delightful little find in Harrogate! From what I've gathered from the reviews and their setup, it's all about that incredible variety of beers, from punchy IPAs and rich stouts to fruity sours and even some cracking cocktails. The staff sound like absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels right at ease, which really elevates the whole experience. It's got this cosy, independent vibe that's a breath of fresh air compared to the more generic places around town, and the music adds a nice touch to while away an afternoon. On the flip side, though, if you're a die-hard fan of cask ales, you might notice the options are a tad slim, and it can be on the quieter side sometimes, which isn't ideal if you're after a bit more energy. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting to explore great brews in a friendly setting – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as it's got that heartwarming charm that makes you want to linger longer than planned.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The selection of beers is absolutely brilliant – from craft ales and IPAs to sours and even low-alcohol options, there's something for every taste.
  • The staff are so friendly and welcoming; they really make you feel at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or settling in for the afternoon.
  • It's got a lovely, relaxed vibe with great music that adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot to unwind in Harrogate.
  • They offer a nice range of cocktails and other drinks, plus it's dog-friendly, which is always a bonus for those of us with furry friends.
Cons
  • The cask beer selection is a bit limited, so if you're after a wide variety of traditional options, you might find it falls short compared to other spots.
  • It can be quiet at times, which is nice for a peaceful visit but might not suit if you're in the mood for a buzzing, lively atmosphere.

Came across this place purely by accident. We thought it was a cafe! Lol. Stayed in all afternoon. It's lovely. We're here for the weekend and it was the lovely. Great drinks. But it was the music that did it for us! Old style mix it was and it was great. Thank you to our lovely bar lady too.

Highly recommend, popped in for a cuppa out of the rain with the dog - super friendly and polite gent served us. Stayed a bit longer and had a beer, my sort of establishment lots of choice in a friendly atmosphere...wished I could have stayed longer.

Was quiet when we in but the person serving was lovely. A great (possibly best in town) selection of canned beers - and they have a incredible aladins cave shop downstairs. I drink cask when I can help it when I’m out and the limited selection was good and well curated. I’d say this place has a nice quirky edge to it.
