About This Pub
Oh, House of Hammerton is one of those gems in Islington that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? It's tucked away nicely near the tube, so it's dead easy to get to, and once you're inside, you're greeted with this fantastic array of fresh craft beers brewed just down the road – I mean, who doesn't love a pint that's got that real authenticity to it? The staff are an absolute delight, always chatting away and making sure you're looked after, which really adds to the cosy vibe, especially if you've got your dog in tow. They've got some cracking cocktails and music that keeps things lively without being overwhelming, and don't even get me started on the Mexican street food – it's a proper treat. On the flip side, though, things can get a tad pricey, so it's worth keeping an eye on your round if you're out with mates for the evening. And if you're a big IPA fan, you might find the selection a bit limited, but overall, it's a solid spot that strikes a nice balance between fun and relaxed – I'd say it's well worth a visit for anyone wanting a break from the usual chain pubs.
Pros and Cons

-
They've got a fun vibe with lovely music and delicious cocktails that really hit the spot.
-
It's super dog-friendly, which is a real bonus if you're out with your furry mate.
-
Handy location near Highbury and Islington station, making it easy to pop in after a wander around London.
Cons
-
Prices can feel a bit steep for some drinks, which might put a dent in your wallet if you're planning a long session.
-
The beer range might not have as many IPAs as some folks would like, so it could disappoint if that's your go-to.

Great pub. Nice beer lineup, great cocktails and friendly staff.
Really lovely and friendly service. Great music. Fun selection of beers and enjoyed a seriously delicious cocktail!
Located within a short walk from Highbury and Islington station along the Holloway road . Hammerton was an old London brewery that started up again in recent years . It's the best place to try their beers and they always have something interesting available. I found the price a little high for some of the beers but nothing that would put me off returning. It's dimly lit creating a nice atmosphere . There is also a beer fridge for takeaway. I'd imagine it gets very busy on match days
Cozy location, great selection of beers (although I was missing IPAs), friendly and caring tap master:) We'll be back!
Quite a nice place ! It was a blast to taste all those great beers. The staff was very nice and quite a plus : it’s super dog friendly. ( we are glad to bring some stout at home too ! ) thank you for you friendliness ! Love from Belgium !
